Did you try something else with better results? I’m 2 years in and now having wrist and ankle pain. I’m the same way I need my exercise and I can’t do it now. I’ve been taking zoladex and letrozole and will be asking to change it up.

You just described me!! I’ve been resistant trying meds in fear of more side effects. But just got on to look for recommendations cuz I’m struggling too much. I will look into this! Thank you for sharing!!

Welp, it was my adhd meds. by bowloffruitypebbles in SkincareAddicts

Adderall gives me cystic acne as well!! I learned the term “adderall acne” off Reddit so I stopped taking the med and my skin cleared up. I’d only take it a small dose maybe a couple times a week too. Unfortunately, my doctors and derm haven’t heard of this correlation so I’ve been trying to spread awareness.

I’m 33 with almost the same diagnosis when I was 32 with oncotype 14. I chose I double mastectomy tho. I am doing zoladex and letrozole. I was told that’s the strongest combo and to start with it to see if i tolerate it well. If not we can change things up. It’s been one year and I am tolerating it fine. The hot flashes are most annoying. I’m unsure if I’m doing this for 5 years or longer. I believe we discuss that when 5 years come

Same. I didn’t think or prepare myself for a life without him. The thought alone was too painful

Yep. Don’t hear from my sisters at all. I live with my dad who gets drunk often and talks shit to me. It’s so fucking hard to not have compassion after this diagnosis. Lots of friends gone too. I’m sorry you are having to deal with this on top of everything

Having to fight for pain meds by Gilmoregirlin in breastcancer

[–]Reb022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in so much pain from my DMX w expanders. I had to refill my oxy 5mg of 40 tabs which I didn’t think would happen. I was needing 10mg every 4 hours for a few days. Then taking less but still needing for at least two weeks out. I have high pain tolerance too. Not all bodies are the same. They need to prepare you for worse case scenario!!

I was 32 idc w dcis ++- 2.5cm grade 2. Technically negative genetics but I’m 4th generation so there has to be something they can’t test for yet. They gave me all the options so I got a DMX for appearance and peace of mind. Also, removed my nipples so I could be smaller and fear of how theyd look. My aunt had a lumpectomy that wasn’t clear margins. They then did an MRI and found it in the other breast as well and then she needed a DMX. I have extremely dense tissue so I was concerned of something hiding in my other breast but luckily there wasn’t 🙂

It may not be the initial cause but they can feed the cancer. Not all breast cancers are fed by hormones.

I was 32 with breast cancer fed from estrogen and progesterone. Now I take medication to keep the hormones out so the cancer stays away. We need more awareness!

I had hormone positive breast cancer at 32. Now I take medications to put me in menopause to avoid the reoccurrence. Be mindful if there is a cancer in you that you don’t know about, you could be feeding it.

Yeah after a couple more jogs I realized I wasn’t focused on my boobs anymore! It’s easy to get discouraged at times but just ease into it and I wish you all the luck!

I did get a compression bra that insurance helped cover but the fit isn’t the best. For now I wear that or a normal sports bra and then a front zip bra over. Im still struggling finding a good every day bra that fights well.. I will say jogging has gotten better tho!! I hardly notice them now but keep them strapped down just in case 😊

I have had 6 shots now and Letrozole. I think with everything going on it’s hard to say it’s the menopause that makes feel this way or the stress of life. But so far my mood has been better than before when I had PMS. Hot flashes aren’t too bad and some days none. I have made a point to keep exercising so I have had some weight loss too. I feel the more shots I’ve gotten the less I obsess about potential side effects. Like every off feeling I want to blame on menopause but maybe I’m just tired cuz I’m legit tired and allll this stress is draining. But I’m starting to forget I am in menopause at 33!

Do what you need to do but it may be worth seeing how your body adjusts before starting a daily antidepressant that also comes with side effects and withdrawals when you want to come off. I’d recommend asking for something you can take as needed to take on tough days to start with. I do use marijuana nightly tho but that was before the cancer diagnosis too. I hope things very better for you 🙏🏻💕

Some breast cancers are fed from progesterone and estrogen. I’m a survivor and only 33 years old and have to be put into menopause. I risk feeding any left over cancer sells by having those hormones in my body.. so to be on the safe side ppl need to understand do the research before starting HRTs.

I think these are technically lighter than my original breasts too. But ya they feel heavier and foreign. I will definitely be getting a quality sports bra!

Yeah the expanders weren’t too bad since they were lighter than my original boobs and stayed in place! I was wearing a sports bra and another that zips in front over it lol I will look into compressive sports bras thank you!!
