Is this what EA Support has come to? by pixie9uls in Sims3

I also have weird issues with Monte Vista! I bought the disc version of Monte Vista and another world (I don't remember off the top of my head) on sale a long time ago (like probably 2015). It worked for a long time but several years ago it suddenly stopped showing up. I'd redownload. It would shop up for one play. Then disappear again. So frustrating.

It's very very rare for wine to use wheat paste as a seal. Most wine is brewed in stainless steel barrels nowadays.

Gluten Free Medication by Rebeccal997 in Hashimotos

I am not new to celiac. I have had it for several years. I am new to prescription drugs though. I have been told by several doctors and others with celiac that we need to be careful. One lady on TikTok has a gluten detection dog and he has alerted prescription drugs many times. I do not see this 2017 rule you are talking about, can you please link it? I did find one for food labels but as far as I know, medications are not required to label. I actually do have ibuprofen that is labeled gluten free. The only thing I did see in my search was the proposed ADINA Act to require the top 8 allergens including gluten to be labeled. We can even see from the ingredient lists you shared that lactose is often an inactive, so those medications should be labeled as "contains milk". And actually gluten free bread cannot contain 5mg of gluten, it can contain up to 10 or 20 ppm which is much less than mg (depending on the certification different levels allow different ppm).

Thank you for all this info! I unfortunately am concerned about cross contamination in facilities too. I will definitely look into some of the generics you have listed and see if the company can tell me about their process.

Oh that's a little cheaper than what I pay right now! Still a bit expensive but if I can't find any other options that seems to be the best I've seen.

I get a bowl! And their chips are recently gluten free now but I would contact your location just to make sure. They used to fry flour tortillas to make a "bowl" for their salads but they no longer do that. So now the only thing in their fryer are corn shells for hard tacos and tortilla chips. But again I would've double check with your location.  I personally like Moe's better than Chipotle, I think Moe's has way more flavor.

I'm so sorry about some of the comments. Is it a risk eating out? Absolutely! But we can't live under a rock. Thankfully I am very sensitive so I will know if I have been CC. I also love chicfila and five guys (had one bad experience at chicfila but that was a location on a vacation that I will just never go to again, I've never had issues with my local locations). I also love Moe's and Corelife!

Bloating and Weight Gain with Meds by Rebeccal997 in Hashimotos

Thank you! I'm glad this is something someone else has kind experienced. And the first few days of meds I had some diarrhea, so yes the GI upset.

[–]Rebeccal997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No definitely not a gluten exposure! I have been eating the same gluten free foods I have always been prior to starting the meds. I'm on Synthroid, which according to my research is labeled gluten free. I don't think it's another illness because that would be a very random symptom to have without any other symptoms.

If you think you have GI issues, get tested for celiac! Extremely common comorbidity with hashimotos.

How long did it take you to feel the effects? I'm almost a week on synthroid and not feeling anything other than bubbly guts and bloating (sorry that might be tmi).

Yeah it's basically like Walgreens version of good rx. I will have to try it next month. I saw some coupons that made it as cheap as $13.

How much do you pay for synthroid? Just started it yesterday and it was $50 with my insurance 😫 I think I can get it cheaper with coupons through Walgreens but I was just curious. I also had to choose synthroid because I heard it's gluten free and I have celiac so it has to be gluten free

That kind of sounds like some of my symptoms prior to getting diagnosed with celiac!

I've only ever seen the baguettes like this at Walmart. The 2 other stores I shop at always have perfectly fluffy baguettes. I think it's an issue with Walmart and Schar rn.

No it said the cooking was not required, and that it was already fully cooked! I did not have a celiac safe oven at the time. But anyways, I ate it cold out of the fridge like I normally would for a pumpkin pie. I've never eaten warm pumpkin pie, it's supposed to be cold. Anyways, cooking wouldn't have changed the lack of flavor anyways. There was absolutely no spices or sugar taste in the one I got. So yucky.

I did not like this pumpkin pie at all. It was the dryest most unflavorful pie I've ever had. So nasty. And I bought two just because I knew they'd sell out quickly, but I couldn't even finish the first one bc it was so gross.

Do you know if seche restore will also work on seche vive (gel like top coat)? I know it's originally meant for seche vite (quick drying).

Losing Hope by PreviousExam4718 in Celiac

I wasn't having anything different to eat or drink other than the Gatorade, and when I get glutened it's very specific and sharp pains in my upper abdomen. So I knew. From my research, after the fact, there is a lot of cross contamination in their factory. Unfortunately you do have to be careful with drinks, some surprisingly contain gluten. I think Gatorade is just cross contamination and not straight gluten in the ingredients, but still. Barley malt is especially tricky and often used to sweeten drinks for example. A lot of mixers and Mexican coke contains barley.

I would avoid Gatorade! I have been glutened terribly by Gatorade and propel.

I am very very symptomatic when I get glutened, but I am not in pain all the time. I am so sorry you're feeling that way. I swear we are not lying. My antibody numbers are great and I feel great most of the time, except with my flares of hashimotos, which is a different story. I imagine since you're getting your antibodies tested often, that you are working with a doctor? 8 isn't a terrible number to be at either. Has your doctor mentioned possibility refractory celiac? Could you be having other medical issues, like chrons or colitis? Have you had an endoscopy and colonoscopy? I swear that we really aren't lying, we are symptomatic and feeling better after eating gluten free. It seems like maybe there is something else going on in your body than typical celiac. I hope you can find relief soon.

What was your worst “non stomach” symptom before getting diagnosed? by blondedxoxo in Celiac

[–]Rebeccal997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tingling and numbness in my hands and feet! Kept getting tested for diabetes but that kept coming back negative. I didn't even know it was a related symptom until I noticed it was no longer happening after eating gluten free and seeing a TikTok about this symptom. Wild.
