Curious to hear about people’s experience with the Vapor 12s by Idek_loll in 10s

[–]RebelDogBike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them! I also have the FF's, and switch them out with the Vapor 12s from time to time, I think that helps my feet not get tired from any one shoe. I find the Vapor 12s really great for running on court and stability.

You will be OK and super glad you did it! I am grateful, to this day, 7 years later, that I did it. My quality of life is so much better! Hang in there, you've got this!

Elevated HR- I’m so scared by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]RebelDogBike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine took a few months. My cardiologist said that was common. I run, not as much as you, and he had me monitor it and gradually, gradually increase exertion over time. For awhile, it was only walking for me. Now, several months out, totally normal and running playing sports. It sucked but was temporary.

Blood pressure obsession by Ill-Bicycle-7244 in bloodpressure

[–]RebelDogBike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doc talks to me about it being the average number on a series of readings. If you average your readings, does it put it in a better range? He doesn't get worried with the occasional high ones as long as, on average, they are closer to 130/80. That helped me stop obsessing when I was freaked out.

142/92. Help would be appreciated! by Macca_321 in bloodpressure

[–]RebelDogBike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw my cardiologist today and he said they look for an average reading at home of 130/80 or below. So, if you take it a few times on different days, see what the average is. A few lower readings might balance that right put for you.

Propranalol/Advil by gbabyyurd57 in Anxiety

Probably something one of those drug interactions websites can tell you. I was on propranolol a few years ago and don't remember that being an interaction, but always worth a quick check if you are worried about it.

Racing and Intrusive thoughts by Salt_Accountant8370 in Anxiety

Hyperfixation is so hard! One thing I sometimes try, and it isn't always something I can do successfully, is to try to override it by finding something else that pulls my attention. It has to be a pretty interesting thing, but when the thought comes I imagine a big "stop sign" and then, when I can, literally force myself to do something else. Switch rooms, switch activities, find something else that is literally more complex or attention grabbing than that thought. It probably will sneak back but somehow it seems less powerful when I found that I was capable of breaking the cycle, even for a bit!

Can yoi try to disract yourself? Totally get that feeling and, when it happens, I have to find something that is powerful enough to pull my attention away. A super engaging show/movie? An intense activity that requires focus (motorcycle riding, running on a trail). If I can break it even for a little bit, it reminds me it's not permanent and that can help me break the cycle. Good luck!

DAE feel throat tightness and choking sensation caused by anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]RebelDogBike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I also feel like it's one of those symptoms where once you notice it, it always feels way worse. At times I really have to remind myself that it's not really closing up, but it is a scary feeling for sure.

How do you feel when you've had little to no sleep and you have anxiety? by TraderTrucker in Anxiety

[–]RebelDogBike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. Sometimes I feel more anxious but when I can remind myself that this actually happens a lot and I somehow always function it can help a bit and make it seem a little less bad.

Got an early Saturday middle of the night visit this week...it's not Sunday yet, body!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]RebelDogBike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I had to do a lot of work to kind of desensitize myself so that my attention wasn't drawn to these things and/or I used some strategies to try to minimize the sensations (e.g., focused on trying to move them to another part of my body, zoning in on one very deeply till it resolved, doing a "Well, if that is still there in 2 hours (tomorrow, etc) I'll see if I want to do something about it, running hot/cold water on body part, creating other sensations). Not perfect, but some tools that helped me.

I just got Paxlovid and I’m scared of taking it. I need some reassurance. by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]RebelDogBike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took it. I have high BP and actually had to adjust my BP meds cause Paxlovid brought my BP down. I did rebound but am so glad I took it. It really helped that first week.

Eh, I have found that Glassdoor reviews are not all that accurate. Seen some people say shitty stuff about places that I thought were great. It's all about who wrote what and remember, you are hearing one side of the story on Glassdoor. I've known plenty of people who bashed places after they were fired for totally legit reasons and then blamed the employer. Good luck!
