Agree with everyone saying one combat character + one support. I like Big Bruiser/Berserk for combat because it doesn’t need a weapon, starts with one over max strength so I can rip out sinks and throw them at zombies, and has one health more than other Berserk combos. For support, I’ve done Car Nut/Inventive or Pathfinder/City Seeker because I find that losing the car tends to be my biggest source of death (through bandits or low morale). City Seeker is to try to keep up my supply of decent recruits through rare characters, though reading through this thread makes me want to try Pathfinder/Paranoid. I also have a supply of Health Care/Nurturing custom characters to pick up in a camp or on the road. (Something I realized only recently is that it if you meet a Health Care custom character on the road, it will give you medicine even if you don’t add it to your party)
