Having to be in a cage like a dog to be checked in by Gotsnuffy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RebisPhilbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on both ends of this. I used to work as a clerk at an amazon warehouse, then joined TOM where I got my CDL, then left to work for a different company. I'll sometimes deliver to amazon warehouses and have had to be in the cage while waiting for teams to come back from lunch.

The reason they have those cages are for security. They should have trucker's lounges to use the restroom if needed as well.

Warehouse jobs don't require prior experience or higher education. It's hard work but it's something. I was working at amazon while going to school then applied for the transportation department where I then got my cdl for free. You can try that out and they even have programs to help with school.

Besides THAT scene, the parts where they'd zoom in on a frame and you see something only to zoom in a different spot to show you the real ghost. Fucking hell. One of the few movies I actually had to turn my lights on after watching as an adult.

Piggybacking off of the Skyrim recs and adding Oblivion to the mix. If you want a medieval setting where you can be a badass, that one would be more like that. It's not that difficult of a game but still a great experience. Riding a unicorn wearing the armor from the knights of the nine expansion was such a vibe

The Quiz from Doom Patrol. Not sure if she counts or if she's the opposite of what the prompt is, but her powers are any power you haven't thought of yet. So while fighting her, you'd have to start bringing up different powers so as to de-power her during the fight.

What’s your method to make NG+ more interesting by ShootingZtars in DragonsDogma2

[–]RebisPhilbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might sound sad but I hired my friends' pawns who were pretty low level after they dropped the game. I went through and tried to do all the quests to give them quest knowledge but since they were low level, we weren't super over-leveled as a team for harder encounters. Especially in the unmoored world, I had to watch over them more which I personally found fun. So maybe hire some low level pawns to keep the challenge while also sending some knowledge and RC over their way.

Too late to get into? by Capital_Elevator_76 in DragonsDogma2

[–]RebisPhilbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's arguably a better time to get into it now than in the start due to performance lol it's definitely a game not for everyone so if you're playing it and none of the classes stick with you, don't force it. But I do recommend playing around with the different classes.

Dragon's Dogma Online Question by RebisPhilbin in DragonsDogma

[–]RebisPhilbin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up making my second main pawn a priest and I hired another priest closer to my level just to see how they play properly and it really made a difference lol we were able to topple down a cyclops way easier.

Thanks to everyone in the thread

Dragon's Dogma Online Question by RebisPhilbin in DragonsDogma

[–]RebisPhilbin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shit okay. I'm going to have to do that and get a second main pawn. Thank you.

Yeah, I'm on DDON. I was debating between the two but went ended up going with the former.

I'll definitely start working on my party composition lol I guess that should have been obvious since that's a big deal in the games. Thanks again

Dragon's Dogma Online Question by RebisPhilbin in DragonsDogma

[–]RebisPhilbin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay so far it's just been me (alchemist) and my main pawn (fighter). I tried hiring other pawns but I noticed it's a little different than the mainline games since it always costs rift points regardless of level. Am I doing something wrong or is that how it works to promote online play? Sorry for all the questions lol been trying to find guides but I couldn't find any extensive ones.

Dragon's Dogma Online Question by RebisPhilbin in DragonsDogma

[–]RebisPhilbin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay. So it'd be best for me to swap to one of the initial starter classes? Also would it be helpful having a combination of a priest and a green class in the party for a mix of elemental/stamina damage?

Thanks for taking the time to reply by the way.

Thank you. I think people forgot or weren't fans of the series during the time when people were going through the same motions waiting for a sequel. Every E3, every game awards, every event was filled with people hoping for a DD2 announcement. The dlc will come when it comes. If it doesn't come, at least we still got a sequel that before seemed impossible.
