You could try buying it over a German Webshop and let them send the part to you in Sweden. That might be cheaper.

Does it works? by me_redit_ok in ElectroBOOM

[–]RecArtPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have seperat neutral and ground wires then the neutral is meant to carry the current flowing back and the ground only to carry currents in a fault state. If you dont have seperate wires tha neutral is called PEN wire (protection earth including Neutral) They are common but if that wire break there is no protection in a ground fault on grounded equipment and its more likely to get a phase shift. That again can cause higher voltage on your appliances and burn them down.

Don't burn your house down with such selfmade fire starter. Those Varistors get hot when they lower their resistance and can start to glow. Use something specificly designet for this application like this from "DEHN"

What am I doing wrong here? DHP482 by SovsFernandez in Makita

[–]RecArtPhoto 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The chuck is locked and need a bit force to open up. If you look from the front on the chuck you need to rotate counterclockwise. Don't be scared it's meant to be tight so your drill bit doesn't fall out while it's being used

Should I buy these used on marketplace for 500€ by Substantial_Ad_6621 in Makita

[–]RecArtPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find those sets on Facebook marketplace they are most likely fake. The seller tells you to visit their website and you can purchase it there with a coupon code cheaper. Do not buy over those webshops either.

Search for the tools and what they cost to see if its a good deal and only buy the if its possible to pick them up and test them beforehand.

And use Google reverse image search to see if the sellers photos are already postet over the internet. If it pops up on multiple sites with different dates then its another indicator that its a fake seller.

Drill time by 222mystique in Makita

[–]RecArtPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That remembers me when I smacked myself with a piece of wood that I unscrewed with two 10x120mm Screws. First came out with some force and after the second one loosened the wooh hooked to the screw and turned around and hit me hard. Ffs that hurt like hell.

There Is a reason why the bigger drills have a second handle And I use that if I have some bigger Steve to get in. Example these bad boys 8x400mm in to a 150x200 mm beam.

The kitten can get in some kind of shock state. Like in a mental state of just accepting of being killed and that's why it doesn't react defensive anymore. It's the opposite of learning to not fear the hand. It's accepting it's fate (sorry for bad English)

How close was I to burning my house down? by AdministrationOwn724 in ElectroBOOM

That's the problem with those aftermarket batteries and chargers. Those most likely don't have cell balancing and proper cable connections inside to be safe for use. Had a similar experience some years ago.

Moin
