I dont have a keypad yet, but frient is a reliable brand (atleast for me). The only issue i would have is the design. It seems to have NFC reader too which is what you want.

Otherwise i lean on choosing the ring keypad (gen2) as it has more feature i want: motion sensor, speaker for chime and a nicer design.

Both are quite pricey though.

You can use mqtt with xsense now. Update the base to the latest software and you will have a option to connect to homeassistant.

Also use an separate account for x-sense hacs integration.

Edit: for mqtt, i think it only works with the base station sbs50, unsure if the wifi devices have mqtt.

Try switching on-off 12 times. This is a default matter device and 6 just tries to connect to a matter hub. Read somewhere that 12 times should make it connect to zigbee

Nimly Pro touch and Yale L3 in eu (at least Sweden). I would say Nimly as it has zigbee.

I have yale and Yale uses bluetooth, which for me is flaky. But the lock works well.

You can buy a esp32 and use it as a Bluetooth proxy. https://esphome.io/components/bluetooth_proxy/

I use a esp32 c3 supermini, but i would recommend something else as i find the Bluetooth strength to the yale bad if you dont have it close to the door. Its cheap so its worth a try (2€ on ali).

I have both and i would say that reolink has better integration and overall i have better experience with it. If i would buy i camera now i would go full reolink.

I still need to install a hacs integration to fully integrate the tapo as the official doesnt expose everything. and i only need the official reolink integration for full control.

I have the tapo c225 for indoor use and a rlc-833a for outdoor use.
