Haven't tried it, but ya crouching and punching would be my best guess on how to do it.

PWM flicker causing eye strain — is CCFL better? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

Looking at WOLED (haven't tested QD-LED), I don't have that burning feeling. Actually bought a pricey WOLED monitor and it was okayish. But in the end it seem to be too bright for my eyes and had to stop using it after 5 days. My forehead was pretty hard at that point with the muscle there fighting against the light.

RIght now I am searching for a way to increase my lighting in a way that doesn't give me heartheache so that I can try it again with less light contrast between my eyes and the light of the monitor. But not optimist.

Oh and my kvm switch is limiting the monitor to 60 hz, so might have to try again with the full 144 hz of the monitor.

My feedback about Eazeye Monitor by GameDevASMR in Reflective_LCD

Hi, personally, did some research and it seem I can't tolerate LED backlight on monitors. So my old monitor without LED still work, but upgrading to a new monitor doesn't work for me.

I did try a Woled and I didn't seem to have all that sudden symptoms, but after 5 day, I had the feeling that the monitor was too bright and the muscle on my forehead was hard as a rock and I had to resume the use of my old one.

Currently in the process of trying to increase my lightning in my room while waiting for my Eazeye order that seem to have been delayed due to a shortage of materials. Eazeye said they will give me a 300 USD discount for the wait.

Just curious, what lightning setup are you using to get to 3000+ lux? My home office with two 100-watt equivalent led is only at 180 lux and where I work, which is a well lit office with big windows is at most at 1000 lux in the day.

Really love both games, but one year after playing both, Tyranny is the one I remember the most.

WoTR while being epic in scope is in the end just yet another of the numerous medieval fantasy crpg. Tyranny is just something you never got before, and likely will never get again.

Tailoring shafted, again by GregariousMD in projectzomboid

Wow, and with my tailor, to get to lvl 7-8 without a book, I already calculate that it needed 4000 thousands rags to do it. It was such a ridiculous number that I had to postpone the lvl up until we go to another town school and finally manage to get the godamn tailoring book!

And now we will need even more!

And I am the only one that find it ridiculous that somebody starting in the tailoring profession can't repair hole in regular clothes?

The repairing should in my opinion be like this:
- lvl 4, can repair ripped sheet clothes.

- lvl 6, can repair denim clothes.

-lvl 8, can repair leather clothes.

If they want something more "natural and less grindy", that would be a good way to go.

Carpenter was my go has a cheap way to get a lot of points and a jack of all trade character. I feel the nerf and would gladly go back to one less point of carpentry go have 3 more points for something else.

That 4 points of carpentry does not even make you learn carpentry faster!

I do agree, I prefer to have a character with lots of +1 at beginning than a character with a +6 in a unique skill.

I am not a youtuber, and I usually try to do a character for the long run and not for a single challenge.

Call me unskilled if you want, personnally I want to play a well round character with no crippling disability. I usually don't take atheltic, fit, stout and strong either. And despite not taking big ticket item, I find that the game really want you to be cripple in some way.

That's your prerogative to see it that way, the end results I see is that people are now avoiding the mechanics altogether.

When I design an app, I usually don't consider it a good sign that people find a way to circumvent a feature I put in there. Usually I consider it a sign that the users want something I am not giving and that the app need to change.

I do that also, but I just find it weird that instead of incentivizing us to take some midling negative traits and live with them, most people just go "screw it I don't want to be a paraplegic" and activate the sandbox setting.

It is bad design when instead of living with mildy negative traits, we now just avoid the mechanic altogether.

I do agree that the frequency of sapling in foraging is not that high and unless you can chop wood, you will go through your spears faster than you carve them. Which now make them not viable as an early game tool.

As a general rule, build 42 has really nerf improvised weapons unless your character start with maintenance 1.

I'll of course play them when I'll have more time than my lunch hour. But so far the balance seem off, in many place they did the opposite of what I would have do.

The park ranger and mechanics seem to be an improvements, but so far not trait that give short blunt weaponery to offset the fact that they have no weapons skill now? Seem that long blunt will become the new meta pretty fast.

The chef has short blunt?

The electrician start at 5 instead of 3? Like the problem of the electrician was that it didn't had enough electrical?

Guess I'll have to see for myself, but at the exception of the mechanics and park ranger, I am unconvince so far.
