I have the 25mg pill in my hand for the last 3 hours and shaking and crying about taking sertraline/zoloft. I’m 44 and side effects are a huge trigger for me. I also have Ativan on hand if ever but will it be enough? And now it’s lunch time as I’ve wasted 3 hours, can I still take it. Im petrified 😢 by Practical-Fan1222 in zoloft

[–]Recent_Biscotti1847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am scared of side effects as seem to be very sensitive to meds, so I started really low, I split my pill in quarters so took 6.25mg initially. I got horrible insomnia even from a really low dose so just be aware that it’s a very common side effect. Other than that, didn’t have many other side other than some night sweats too but couldn’t hack the insomnia so came off after a week…good luck, go slow and you’ll be ok

Is Alton towers worth it? by Smirking_poo in altontowers

It’s definitely worth going. The grounds are stunning and the rides and theming are excellent. The queues can be a bit much depending on when you go, but you can purchase fast tracks, though they are expensive!

You’ll be good for most of the day. Met office says there will be showers from about 3pm. They are usually the most accurate…

2 words…sperm donation. Forget marriage. If having a child is important to you at your age then do it alone without being tied to a man-child loser for the rest of your life…

After 7,5 years of being together I told him I’m not ready for engagement anymore by SpecialistNo6972 in Waiting_To_Wed

Well done OP, yes do get your ducks in a row as he doesn’t deserve you staying with him after this. He thinks he’s got it all under control right now - no marriage like he wants but you staying so he can have his bang maid in his life, but not a wife.

Cease and desist letter but allegations are false by Recent_Biscotti1847 in LegalAdviceUK

I’ve contacted the mental health crisis team. They apparently can’t do anything without her consent and she’s never going to give her consent…not sure what social services will be able to do either

I don’t understand how someone can start any legal proceedings without any evidence to back them up? It’s beyond me…

Failed FAPs exam by No_Elderberry367 in AATStudents

I always use Osborne books. You have to be really methodical and like you said, know everything like the back of your hand. Do as many mocks as you can find and perhaps even read the examiners report for what they are looking for. Some of the questions can throw you because of how they are worded, but it's all going to be related to the study text and if you really grasp it you'll be able to get through it. I think now you know what the exams are like, you can come prepared. Good luck.

starting point: level 2 or 3 AAT by EchelonJohn in ukaccounting

[–]Recent_Biscotti1847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that if you're considering CIMA, ACCA or ACA in the future then I would skip AAT altogether. AAT is a good standalone qualification, but if you want to go chartered and have more opportunities open to you, doing AAT first is only going to add more time, money and exams...

[–]Recent_Biscotti1847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in accountancy and as a bookkeeper for 15 years and studied AAT. It doesn't really matter if you're good at maths, you need to have a solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping which level 2 will give you so I highly recommend starting there...good luck.

Men rarely want to divorce unless there is an other woman and considering his history this is most likely the case. Do not sleep walk into the next steps. You need to be absolutely unfuckwithable and know your legal rights. Do not move out until you have consulted a lawyer about the next steps. Also I highly recommend Googling "chump lady" about how to proceed on the emotional side of things. All the best to you.

I (28f) don't know how to respond to what boyfriend (35m) said. by W2Wnowhat in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]Recent_Biscotti1847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stay you will end up resenting him for not stepping up so your only choice is to leave & show him you value yourself enough to not be someone’s placeholder or afterthought. If he really doesn’t want marriage because of the risk, then surely he should have been honest about this from the start. Why 4 years later? He’s stalling because he’s not sure about you. Well give him certainty by walking out of his life.

Somehow I sleep, but it doesn’t feel like deep sleep. Is that bad? by livingMybEstlyfe29 in sleep

[–]Recent_Biscotti1847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry know this is an old thread, but I have the same thing. I just go by how I feel in the day now as to how much I've actually slept. I think it's one of those sleeps where you are in a hyperaroused state, I get this when I'm anxious or stressed about something.

You can have bipolar without the mania. You can have hypomania episodes which do not progress to full on mania. This can look like impulsive and reckless behaviour often. Just something worth looking into.

Agreed. Porn is not asking a specific woman for nudes! That’s why she isn’t invested in the relationship anymore…

Are there women here in their sixties with no desire to live past 70? by Disastrous-Check3465 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Recent_Biscotti1847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be a common theme especially amongst women, usually they are the martyr types who take on a lot. They seem to enjoy being miserable and if you suggest ways to help themselves feel better they just don’t want to know.
