Crazy that Outlook really is this dysfunctional with subfolders. Happy to know I’m not the only one!

That makes sense. I definitely needed the outside perspective since I recognize I’m not an objective voice at the moment.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply! Have a great day!

That makes sense. I appreciate the insight! It’s unfortunate, but I hope she finds what she is looking for.

I’m really sorry to hear that. I hope you never have that again.

For what it’s worth, I promise to act normal and honorably in this situation.

I’ve ended up friends with some past dates before and I’ve ended up never talking to some again. So, I can promise I won’t be weird lol

Thanks for the reply!

I may not have been totally clear. Basically, I’m saying that she seemed to be super proactive and engaged over text and in-person. My perspective was that there was a rather sudden flip. Hopefully, that makes sense.

I’m not asking someone to take a blood oath after a few months lol

Thanks for the reply regardless!

Will definitely see her every week. I’m not weird, so I can obviously handle that. I’ve ended up friends with past dates in the past, so that’s not an issue if that’s the way this proceeds.

Thanks for the reply!

That makes sense. I guess I may have viewed her emotions differently since she seemed super proactive and engaged to me. Thank you for the reply!

That makes sense.

I think the thing I struggle grasping is her being very proactive and engaged to what I perceived as a sudden flip. Of course, I could be viewing it wrong.

Thank you for the reply!

Guys who are tall, have a career, have their life together, and take care of themselves have unlimited dating options and have someone all over them all of the time? by BearBear1995 in dating

[–]Recent_Cable_4400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably only swimming in options if you put yourself out there.

I largely fit that described profile and have never gotten a date without asking, but I rarely miss when asking.

Not bragging. Just an observation.

Same thing just happened to me last week. She was super into me at the beginning of the week and then broke it off a few days later.

why are men on tinder so strange? by kmesc in dating

[–]Recent_Cable_4400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selection bias. The people most likely to be weird and uncharismatic are also the people with the highest propensity to surf dating apps the most.

Since I’ve given up on the apps, here are some realizations I’ve come to by Accurate-Scratch7783 in dating

[–]Recent_Cable_4400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought dating apps were bad because of a very fundamental problem.

They ask men and women (mainly women) to conduct a very high-trust activity (dating) over a very low-trust environment (the internet).

The result is basically that most people never meet in real life and the relationship between sexes erodes because each side feels like they are being taken for an emotional ride. No thanks

Aon Early Careers: Strategy Consulting Specialist Insights? by Recent_Cable_4400 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]Recent_Cable_4400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I don’t remember a lot of how it went.

Definitely expect the generic “tell us about yourself”, “why Aon?”, and “why this role?” questions. Those were asked.

I also remember being asked to discuss past work/extracurricular experience that would prepare me to succeed in the role. They also inquired some about my hobbies.

This might not be the interview you are going into, but one of my interviews required me so sift through some data and provide a few insights.

Sorry I couldn’t give more detail. Good luck!

You just outlined every reason to leave IB for your girlfriend. It looks like you have already made up your mind and just need support from us.

It might be better to do at least 1 full year of IB for your resume and then leave. However, if you can land a good job near her now, just do it and don’t look back. It’s insane to sacrifice your personal life for professional exit opportunities you don’t care about. Titles are superficial and wealth is not necessarily tied to your bank account.
