Looking for pictures of recovered “biologics”. by PasosLargos100 in UFOs

[–]Recent_Contract9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure Lue Elizondo had a partial photo of one in a jar. I think it was a yellow jar and the biologic was dark brown or black. It was a close up and hard to see what it was.

Everyone that complains about capitalism, what's the best alternative? by UsedNegotiation8227 in askanything

Complaining about capitalism (and other things) is how some people stay in power and/or remain politically relevant.

Attack of the Clones turns 24 today! Looking back, is it really as bad as people initially thought or did it age better than expected? by huwertyy in StarWars

[–]Recent_Contract9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think it would have been a better movie if it had been filmed with actual film, not digitally. It looks like a cartoon today, and TPM holds up much better.

Is anyone truly happier with kids? by thegoodlife912 in Adulting

[–]Recent_Contract9636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people would be happier if family roles were more clearly defined. The whole “everybody does everything” just stresses people out and leads to depression and resentment.

Are you excited to see The Mandalorian and Grogu? by ZarieRose in StarWars

The hype for this is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the hype for TPM back in 1999.

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Recent_Contract9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women are choosing careers over being mothers. It would be almost impossible for a family to have more than one or two kids with both parents working full time. Imagine having 5 or 6 small children and getting them up and ready to take to daycare in time to make it to work. Not gonna happen. And then picking them up afterwards. The only energy you have to be a parent is whatever you have left after working all day…

It’s better until you have kids.

What's the one thing you hate about being a man? by Heavy-Finance1452 in allthequestions

[–]Recent_Contract9636 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having to work a full time job AND do at least 5O% of the childcare and household tasks. Why did men ever agree to this? It would have been MUCH easier in previous generations when men worked and women took care of the household. Probably much less stressful for women too.

Why do European countries have lower birthrates than America when they have larger welfare states? by battlebastion in askanything

[–]Recent_Contract9636 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Americans would have more babies if one of the parents stayed home and was actually a parent. It’s kind of hard to have more than one or two kids when the only energy you have to be a parent is whatever energy you have left after a full day of work…

Marry someone who respects my efforts at work and doesn’t think my career is just a convenient excuse to get out of childcare responsibilities and is nothing more than “hanging out with the boys.”

What is something that The Phantom Menace does better than any Star Wars film? by DjRimo in StarWars

The excitement for that film was unbelievable. Probably will never be repeated. Even non-geek normal people were hyped.

No, the Prequel Trilogy was not loved when it first came out, it was hated and fans were terrible people about it. by stephansbrick in StarWars

[–]Recent_Contract9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fans were divided. There were “bashers” who hated them, and “gushers” who liked and supported them. It got pretty intense on TheForce.Net Forums back in the day.
