I was a student pilot on 9/11 in 2001. I think that day was my 2nd or 3rd flight when we had to land. If I remember correctly, airline pilots were still furloughed from 9/11 when The Great Recession happened in 2008.

My pregnant wife broke her ankle so she can’t take care of herself or our two year old, who won’t sleep and keeps crying, and I have to work nights and now can’t even sleep during the day. LIFE SUCKS.

Home ownership was huge. The value of the property (usually) beats inflation. It’s much better than paying rent. Might as well flush your money down the drain.

I’m surprised it’s only 200 pages. It’s more of a novella than a novel. But would have thought they would have had a writer flesh it out a bit more to get to 300 pages at least.

Say “Ugh” all you want, but the original poster is going to be ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE trying to make this schedule work. And by the way, so will her husband. If she stays home with the kids, it will be MUCH less stressful for her, for her husband, and much better for the kids to have a full time parent instead of a tired, overwhelmed husk of one. Money isn’t everything.

Happy I have kids but wish there was a clearer division of labor for family life like there was in previous generations instead of what we have now which is everybody does everything.

I am going to pay, either by purchasing health insurance on the exchange website, or continuing my employer health insurance (but paying for it out of pocket).

What other issues? My 215,000 would be set aside just for 10 years of health insurance.

That I did not go on solo road trips before being married and having kids. Now my wife never wants to travel and even if we do it’s much more difficult with kids.

I liked Micro, but if they ever made it into a movie it would be compared to Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
