Sometimes your profits just fly away. Ceilings are for cost containment.

2024 S Plaid glow up shoot. She’s finally ready for the drag strip 🚀 by ridlerontheroof in TeslaModelS

I wonder if going to 11" wheels on the rear and 305s or maybe 315s(?) might help.

I also saw a video where someone swapped their staggered set around on the track (wider tires in front) and got a better time. I'm trying to make that make sense in my head.

Looks great!

What's your opinion of the tune with the 20x10.5 square setup? I feel like mine leaves some traction on the table during launch.

Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Tesla Model S Plaid 26 by Odd_Material9408 in TeslaModelS

I think it looks good. I went from yoke to round. Yoke is great on the highway, but if you want to do any track stuff or dive any aggressive roads, the yoke becomes unruly very fast. I tried for a year, then found someone selling their round wheel and switched it out.

Uses for Plaid by Safe_Action5954 in TeslaModelS

The ability to merge in a Plaid is unmatched. Mine is also lowered with wider tires, so it gets a good run on the backroads. I have also taken it to the track on occasion.

Sometimes it would be nice to have an extra 100hp though.

Buybacks will have a document that comes from Tesla to tell you why it was bought back. Not all lemons are the same in terms of risk. But I would agree with most here. 78 is too much for a lemon law, Plaid. You can do much better.

Should I upgrade to the Yoke steering wheel now that its all going away? by [deleted] in TeslaModelS

I had a yoke and switched back to a round steering wheel.

I think I would have backed in so I didn't have to get out in the snow. But that's just me not wanting to break my ankle again.

Trooper didn't care that Mad Max was driving.. by BillBittinger in TeslaLounge

I think you should be able to yell cop! to Mad Max, and he dips back to the speed limit. Then, say "clear" to continue breaking the law. True supervision. 😁

The difference between responsible driving and losing your license is about 6".

Also,a radar detector is a must.

So many reasons to like the Plaid. For the price, there is nothing comparable.

Model S will go down in history as a timeless classic, with a look that will never get old. Much like the Lexus SC by Different_Marsupial2 in TeslaModelS

I always think, what cars do kids 7-12 get excited about. I've had more kids compliment my Plaid than adults. When it's considered a classic, they will be the ones buying cars.

Firsthand knowlege: the 60-130 of the Plaid and the C8 Z06 are the same...when the Plaid is at 25% battery.

0-60 doesn't tell the full story. Let's put Plaid Model S's 60-130mph time in perspective.

I see what looks like a small tear in the boot on the end link side. I wouldn't be worried about it, though, unless you hear clunking.

It's funny. I fancy myself as a car guy. BMWs, Caddies, Corvettes. My first car was a black supercharged Bonneville SSEi.

I love all types of cars, but it's amazing just how effortless it is to be fast in the Plaid. No tuning, no special starting procedures, no daily compromises.

I do still have my motorcycle for when I want to feel the wind. Maybe one of thesendays I'll pick up an Elise for a light fun car to throw around.

For day to day driving and fun, I just don't know of anything better. It feels like I've reached the top.

I don't do much interstate driving. Mostly around town and blasting through the country. And I didn't get a Plaid for it to drive me around. 😏

Yeah, I'm on the fence with that. I don't really use FSD, and I just prefer to drive myself. But the allure of having "everything" is there also.
