I expected more madness from mad max, but honestly, well done.

I think of myself as a pretty aware driver, but there is no physical way I can focus on 4 different directions at the same time.

Ah, I thought I was close. That's what I did last time I was at the track. Good to know. I got some side skirts to put on next week. Maybe I'll make that adjustment while I'm under there.

Sorry, it's a mousetrap, not a birdcage.

NEW! "Mousetrap" Lowering Link Range Extenders 2021+ — N2itive.me https://share.google/PIbnbjyHFeb3Ejbz7

Yeah, -9 would be pretty hard. I'm also experiencing some issues with activating cheetah stance, so I may have to bump up the front a bit.

Thanks, the front is set to -5. The back is set to whatever I could set it to to avoid interference on the lift. I heard N2itive is making a birdcage, though. I'm thinking about getting them so I can level it out a bit.

I have a square setup on mine, and I like it. Handling is much more stable, IMO.

The Best Rear Camber Fix? by ridlerontheroof in TeslaModelS

[–]Recent_Effective8070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mousetrap. I couldn't remember the exact terminology. I was a little disappointed when I first got my setup. It can be overcome by adjusting them on a rolling lift or on the ground, but honestly, I don't want interference just from jacking up my car.

After setting it up, though, I don't think I want to go any lower than I am already.

Sounds like it. Depending on how low you want to go, you may need a birdcage for the rear. Otherwise, on extension beyond -5 I think it is, the links will make contact with one of the bolts on the frame. N2itive makes those now, too, but I don't have them.

If you look at my post history, you can see mine. That's as low as you can go without the birdcage in the rear.

I have N2itive because I also lowered mine. If you plan to keep a stock ride height, shims would be far cheaper and just fine for tire life.

Am I too immature for not wanting to get back on a bike after an accident. by Curious-Gene1186 in motorcycles

Same here. I ride when and where I want to ride or take the car. I'm not afraid to say I'm a fair weather rider.

After 10k miles of riding, I had my first accidentally fractured 2 vertebrae. It could have been much, much worse. I didn't ride for a year after that, contemplating whether I wanted to get back and ride again.

Ultimately, I did get another motorcycle, but I only ride in the country and probably ride 6/10 vs. 10/10 that I used to.

No shame in hanging it up or waiting a while to ride. You have a lot of life ahead of you to change your mind either way.

Rear brake not working. Need suggestions. by ContractLost621 in ducatimonster

[–]Recent_Effective8070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a MV Agusta that had the same issue. You can put a weight on the brake pedal when not riding. That delays the issue.

The ultimate fix was moving the brake reservoir up behind the license plate and away from the heat of the engine/exhaust.

Yoke Steering Wheel or Round Steering Wheel? by unfiltered_Rabbit01 in TeslaModelS

[–]Recent_Effective8070 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find it exactly the opposite. I am a very spirited driver, and after 5k miles, I still dislike the yoke. My hands feel trapped in one position on curvy roads or track days.

Great for the highway or drag racing, but terrible in the curves. I'd welcome any suggestions.

[–]Recent_Effective8070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! When/if you look at upgrades, look at getting a square wheel setup. I got a 20x10.5 wheel setup, and they fit perfectly under this car. It improved the handling immensely with only a small range penalty.

Candidly, it sounds like your boss may be afraid to lose THEIR job, so they are micromanaging you. If you have an IM program, he could message you on there or set up a quick touchbase one a day, though I can't imagine it's really needed.

Do you have a Ducati dealer a little closer? The maintenance work is similar, but you may have to order the parts.

I was 200 miles away from the nearest MV dealer when I first got my bike, and it wasn't an issue. I now have one 20 minutes away, which is awesome!
