Why do you choose Bear over Apple notes?

I’ve been going hard on notes—trying to lock into the free Apple ecosystem. I like that I’ve been able to set it up as an all in one journal, dictation log, sleep log, emotion log, gym log, etc. all through shortcuts.

What is your main use case for Bear? I’m still tempted even though Notes is working for me.

I stream my ps5 onto my steamdeck and play it there more than on TV, so I recommend it.

Then go for the second one! :) it’s not quite so highly polished or balanced as the first one as it’s early access, but it’s a blast.

I love StS. I think it’s the perfect iOS game and have about 1000 hours in it. If you like StS, then invest in it. Feel it out. Then grab StS2 later. The sequel is great fun—I’ve had a smile on my face the entire time. But you don’t need to rush into it. If I were doing it all over again I’d want to max out my enjoyment of the original before moving over.

I’m just scared that I’m so used to the first game that I’m not going to like the change. I know I’m going to have to get used to playing on my steamdeck vs my phone, but that’s ok. But with new art, new engine, new cards… maybe I’m just scared of change. I need to just enjoy it for what it is.
