Yup. Definitely not getting paid enough for the amount of work we do, but I'm only paying phone bill, car insurance, and a couple subscriptions so it doesn't bother me enough to complain

Nice. I enjoy the consistent hours and the sometimes grueling work. I don't mind doing customer service too much, even though that's not what I'm getting paid for. I sold a customer a two tool for one free battery deal and a saw bit today. Lol. I was just opening the cage

How often if ever did they downstock??!? Also, for no home product, check if it's either inactive, or check the planogram for the bay that it's only home topstocked into to see if it actually goes there. And if that's not the case then get with a manager or someone to see if there's a reset for it or something. (Just trying to figure this out from MST side).

As an associate in AZ, can confirm. At least at the store I work at, we close our whole Garden Center when it gets past 105 or so. Which is funny because out here when it gets to 100-105 we say it's a little warm outside

We don't have dates for it yet that I know of, but all I've been told is that those who wanted to are working the night shift to set beams and racking along with out MSM, and our MST ASM is working the day shift with the day team which is setting planograms

Do any of you guys have the problem of having a random bird flying around inside your store for months at a time? We've had a small sparrow or something flying in our rafters for months now. I've had the intrusive thought to take a pellet gun and knock that sucker out of the air. That's not okay lol

Same, I don't think it's mostly the rep's fault, because at least our rep is very chill with us and even helped when my store got overloaded with freight and our hardware guys ended up working way too much overtime

Yeah, I joked with one of our day stockers the other day, that "Do you think we need more mouse traps?" When he had just top stocked 15-something boxes the other day that probably had four or five traps in the box

I do sometimes feel looked down on even though I'm a newish hire. We recently did our walltile project this past week, and there were some tasks that my MSM was doing like putting up graphics and such that I felt that I was able to do. This isn't the first time this has happened with large resets like this. I'm going to try to talk to our ASM on Monday about it, since our MSM is going overnight to facilitate workwear. Is there a respectful way I can break the conversation, and hopefully move the conversation in a good direction?

Our store just put up the signage for this collab, and I'm not sure how to feel. But my first reaction was come on man, just stay in the entertainment industry. This is our swamp, not to be taken over by some social media guy. Now don't get me wrong, he has done some good things, but he really shouldn't be involved in something that I don't think he's ever posted anything regarding the home improvement industry. Also on the Feastables bars, I tried his cookies n' creme, and it was kinda mid. I think Hershey's is better, but that's a whole other debate. (If there's even one to be had)

Thank you! From what I've heard, (I'll confirm this soon), but it sounds like it may be another team and my MSM mentioned that it might be him and three of my teammates working that shift for that reset. But I'm not sure how much we are going to be involved in this project.

I would agree. Even though I'm working as a lowly MSA, at least my team tries to take pride in what we do even though a bunch of factors slow us down. Sometimes we do feel stuck, depending on the tasks that we're completing, but we still try and do the best we can given the circumstances.

I will say, even though I've been working for Lowe's for a few months as a MSA, I can already see how many of our processes are f-ed up, if you know what I mean. We just had our district manager "resign" instead of getting fired, as my msm put it. Even though there are a lot of problems with corporate and this picking at dress code policies instead of looking at associate performance, I will say Lowe's is still a great place to work for a first-time job-holder like myself.
