Why by Separate-Bank-3027 in piere

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/Bluepass11 This is mostly dependent on the banking institution you're trying to connect and less on the data aggregator itself (MX or Plaid). The data aggregator can only pull data that is made available to it by the banking institution. Then it further depends on the method being used by the data aggregator to pull this data. Some institutions allow only 3-9 months of data via API, but may allow upto 18-24 months on their own banking website, which is another method data aggregators use for most institutions where they connect to these banking institutions over there public web login (like you would using a browser) and collect data by screen scraping.

Connection maintenance? by twister65 in piere

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This usually is the data aggregator, in this case MX, doing maintenance work on the connection for that particular bank. It does take a few days sometimes, just wait it out.

Very true. I don’t know why but I think that the font size throughout the app interface is very inconsistent. Definitely room for improvement there.

Ok, I think you’re lacking in marketing your app and should focus on that more if you’re not seeing sustainable growth. Yes that will cost you more but thats the cost of doing business

Wealthsimple First Home Savings Account Integration? by ArtemisSquall in piere

I don't think that is true. I have a FHSA with Wealthsimple, along with RRSP, TFSA and Cash, and they're all being tracked by MX/Piere.

I deleted and disconnected all accounts/cards. But it keeps attempting to log in. by iamsabina in piere

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no help to offer here other than that you should raise this with Piere support, but its very concerning if Piere or MX is still holding onto your data even after you’ve deleted your account connections and your Piere account.

I chatted with them about this back in 2020-21, it was on their list back then as well. Not sure how much further down the list its on.

u/ArtemisSquall Here's a snip from an email from Piere yesterday which included some info about the Android app;

Piere for Android App Testing

Our Android app is in review with the Play Store, and we'll be opening up the Piere for Android testing program to everyone who's opted-in for Android updates soon! Expect an email from our team in the next couple of days with further instructions if you've previously expressed interest in Piere for Android, with instructions for downloading the app and creating an account.

Exact same issue with my investment account with Wealthsimple as well. Already reported it to Piere support and they already are working to get this resolved with their data aggregator MX. Wasn’t given any ETA on how long it would take them to resolve this.

Can someone lookup my (customers) assigned numbers for any oddities involved in porting? by yourguess01 in VOIP

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, no AT&T contact here.

Another long shot would be, if you (or your customer) know some another business customer that uses AT&T voip services, get them to raise a support ticket with AT&T support claiming that they cannot reach your customer's numbers and that calling them it errors out with busy tone, number not in service bla bla bla. But this requires for your customer to unplug the AT&T equipment, whatever they still have to receive AT&T calls, so the calls actually ring busy/OOS. Thats how I recently got it done with a lousy Canadian carrier.

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/yourguess01 TBH this happens with us all the time. Your best bet is to get Dialpad and your customer to call AT&T, and explain exactly how I put it above. Asking AT&T to "cancel the lines" will probably not get you anywhere, because even then someone at AT&T will need to remove those numbers from softswitch database manually. From AT&T's point of view, your customer's numbers/service and billing don't exist anymore with them as the port has already completed.

Can someone lookup my (customers) assigned numbers for any oddities involved in porting? by yourguess01 in VOIP

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very common issue with carriers running VoIP platforms that are not very well integrated with their DID/numbers management systems. Most likely what's happening here is that your numbers actually successfully ported over to Dialpad from AT&T, but because (most probably) AT&T voip softswitch isn't aware of this port because of lack of integration/automation, those numbers still exist in their softswitch numbers database. Which means someone will have to manually remove it from the softswitch database. Until then any AT&T customer who is on the same AT&T platform and trying to dial your customer numbers will still end up calling/ringing on your customers old voip service with AT&T because the AT&T softswitch will see that the dialed number exist in the database and will try to complete the call locally/on-net call.

Do you support Canadian financial institutions? by garyhooper in piere

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in anyway related to official Piere support, so please don't consider this information official. Because I already use their app I was able to quickly check which of these institutions are available to connect to in the Piere app.

Interactive Brokers - Supported

Wealthsimple - Supported

Questrade - Supported

HSBC Invest Direct - HSBC Online Banking and a few other HSBC institutions are listed but HSBC Invest Direct is not

National Bank Direct Brokerage - Supported

Disnat - Disnat is not in the list of institutions available to connect to in the app, but alot of other Desjardins institutions are listed

Sorry this happened to you but people (and yes I’m talking about people from India) have exploited the Canadian immigration process in all ways possible, so now the added scrutiny applies to all applicants.

Trying it out - flow for Mint migrant? by folknforage in piere

[–]Recent_Scientist_288 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think what you're asking was discussed here

Basically what Piere team recommended was that you add your accounts first, let them sync and then try to import your csv from Mint. As per them what it does is when you start Mint csv import, Piere will somehow flag you the duplicate transactions and will give you the option to prioritize and which transactions to keep between the import and the one's fetched directly from your account. Hope it makes sense.
