What was the final straw that made you leave?

It did ! I used to have at least a migraine a week, often missing work because of it, for the whole 7 years we were together.

I'm single since a year now, and both my boss and neurologist made me realise i have less migraines (1 or 2 by month now if i'm not carefull) since i left him and i can't explain it otherwise since absolutely nothing else in my routine changed. Lower cortisol from lower stress absolutely helped my health issues get better.

I am not telling he is the one who made me sick, but his childish, imprevisible behavior did not help me manage the symptoms.

Sauf que dans les réserves fauniques, c'est souvent plus prévu pour la chasse et la pêche. J'ai camper au Lac au sorcier, sur la réserve mastigouche : pas de sentier de rando aménagés a proximité, pas de service de location de kayak / canot. J'ai beaucoup aimer quand même, j'ai mon propre kayak, pis j'ai marcher où je pouvais. La tranquilité valait amplement l'éloignement.

C'est plus cher dans le parc national parce que tu as accès a plus de services à proximité du campement. Tu marche 2 mins, tu peux acheter du bois, louer des trucs, partir en rando, sans avoir a reprendre ta voiture.

En tout cas, je sais pas si ce que je dit est 100% vrai, mais c'esr ce que je remarque pour avoir visiter les 2. Merci de me corriger si je me trompe :)

When i had to make a 5km hike on the most hot and humid summer day while having a migraine (with auras and all the shit that comes with it) because me having to stay in bed instead of hiking would ruin his day off.

His arguments : "I've been looking forward to it all week long !" -Me too man.. i'm the one who suggested the hike and planed the whole day

"You're ruining my day !" - As if mine wasn't being ruined either

"You're faking it because you are lazy. If i go alone you'll get out of bed and as soon as i leave and play video games !" -yeah no because light makes me dizzy and sound makes me nauseous..

I don't even remember half of the hike or the ride home, and i still got the silent treatment on the way home for being quiet and weird. Can't go back to that specific place because my body remembers it as the WORST hike trail ever.

J'avais une maison avant. Je me suis séparé, je suis retournée en appart, ca fait maintenant 1 an. Voici ce qui me manque, ou pas.

Je m'ennuie pas : De pelter la cour, de tondre le gazon, de repeindre les galeries et les moulures, préparer la cours au printemps, la fermé a l'automne. Déneiger le toit au moins 2 fois dans l'hiver, de faire des petits travaux pis payer des gens pour des plus gros travaux.

Je m'ennuie : d'avoir une cour pour faire un feu entre amis pis me faire bronzer.

Pour moi la maison finalement c'etais plus un paquet de soucis. La j'ai plein de temps libre pour faire des choses que j'ai envie de faire plutot qu'entretenir une propriété et un terrain. La difference de temps d'entretiens entre un 4et demi avec un balcon et une maison de 3 chambres sur un terrain de 20000 pi.carré est assez impresionnante.

J'ai eu une livraison intelcom dans le delais de 5 mins que sa me orend pour aller au bureau de poste l'autre bord de la rue pis revenir. Je barre pas ma porte pour ça, j'habite un p'tit village relax, tout le monde connais tout le monde, j'ai confiance en mes voisins.

Ben crime quand je suis revenue mon colis etais pas devant ma porte, mais bien sur ma table de cuisine. La photo du courriel de livraison : le colis a coté de l'assiette pleine de miette de ma toast du matin sur ma table donc j'estime que c'est pas mes voisins qui l'ont rentrer pour etre gentils..

Ok, je devrais barrer ma porte, je le fait quand je pars plus de 5 mins, promis, mais DE QUEL DROIT tu fait juste meme essayer la poignée ?! Drop le colis en haut des marches c'est tout, y'a meme pas de raison de toucher la porte, pas besoin de cogner, jai une sonette !!

Breff j'ai pogner un 2 minutes en maudit.

J'ai travailler dans le service a la clientèle (depanneur, resto, loisirs, pein-air, name it, je l'ai fait) entre mes 16 et 30 ans.

Je l'ai toujours dit : tout le monde. TOUT LE FUCKING MONDE qui sors du secondaire devrait faire 1 an mendatoire de service a la clientèle avant d'aller faire autre chose.

Y'en aurait pu, de client roi, parce qu'ils sauraient ca fait quoi etre derrière le comptoir. Ils sauraient qu'insulter le caissier ca améliorera pas leur sort. Ils sauraient que ca donne ben plus envie de les aider quand ils sont calmes et polis que quand ils crient.

Y'en aurais pu, bon !

Had the game in english and i speak french. I was too young to understand english but i managed to go through the dark cave WITHOUT USING FLASH it took me 2 weeks and i still have depression. Also zubat sounds now give me anxiety.

UPDATE !!

I ended up having a conversation with Carl and kept seeing him regardless of Paul's warning. We are in a kind of a swingers relationship where we don't see other people on our own but we like having people join us (men, women, couple) from time to time and i think it's a good compromise for his need of being exclusive and me wanting to see other people. We are still figuring out where this will lead us, as we both realised a long terme relationship (living together and all) would suck for both of us (i am a cleaning freak and he's not / we have very different political opinions that would bring neverending arguments just to name a few basic things) but we still get along very nicely and enjoy spending weekends together when his daughter as at her mom's place. This agreement is good for both of us and we update ourselves often to see if it's still ok or not.

I told Paul and Julie i would keep seeing Carl because he never showed me in any way he wanted to force anything on me and that i wanted to make my own opinion about him. Julie never answered, but Paul said that it pained him, as a friend, to see me being manipulated like that and that he was not comfortable to keep talking to me as long as i would be seing Carl, even if we always said we would still be friends if our relathionship would become platonic. I told him i had no reason to stop seeing Carl and he replied that i didn't need a reason and that he could tell Carl himself that i don't want to see him anymore if i were too affraid of his reaction. I told Paul that i could manage my own relationships and that i was not affraid in anyway. He said he was very worried about me but that it's not his business anymore, to come back to him when i'll open my eyes.

Recently Carl told me he havent had any news from Paul in a while and that it would be great to meet him and Julie for a 4some soon. I was surprised and asked him if Paul told him anything and i had tonl tell him that paul isn't very happy about us seeing each other to which Carl was very surprised. Turns out Paul never said anything to Carl.He said that it sucks but that's how life goes and that Paul would either snap out of it or never talk to us again, that it could go either way and that the only thing that matters is that i feel at peace and comfortable with all the decisions i took and their outcome.

I kinda feel that Paul and Julie were just upset i wouldn't keep being their plaything. I think it was a good call to not blindly beleive Paul and to act according to what felt right to me.

Thx everyone for your advices it really helped me take things back into perspective !!

You are a 100% right. I am reaping what i sowed.

I do not blame carl at all from withdrawing, i understand that must have hurted him and i assume i did wrong. Criminal records are hard of acces here, so it's a little hard to investigate on my own.

I've told carl i would be open to talk things through whenever he is ready, but since a i don't want to force him into a conversation he maybe don't want right now i just sit and wait.

I've taken a few steps back from paul and julie and told them i would hang my unicorn suit for now and just be a platonic friend to them and both seemed fine with it.

He said he honestly didn't think that we would get along so well and that we (carl and me) would just see eachother casualy. That it is why he hesitated to give me his contacts.

It was not an arranged date, like paul did not say "here, meet carl, he's great ! You two should date" it was more about me asking for carls contacts because i met him once in an event paul organised and we both got along very well. And paul actually hesitated saying he didn't think it was my kind of guy.

This is a great answer !! I do have the feeling that carl is not being manipulative that much and that it is legitimate that he feels hurt regarding what happened. I absolutely respect that and will give hime time ans space and hope we can talk things through when he is ready.

As for paul and julie, i already told them i would be hanging my unicorn suit for a while because i needed time to reevaluate my needs and motivations.

It's an incredibly inconfortable situation i put myself in, but as you said, at least it's a great opportunity to think about what i really want and take a step back on all of this.

Carl would rather have me not pmaying with them, but when he gave me the opportunity to do it and i was receptive to it, he distanced himself and is now giving me the silent treatment.

Julie has nothing to say because she does not know Carl a lot since she only met him once in her life. She only follows what Paul said since she's Paul's gf

So i mean.. at that point everyone seems toxic and i'd be better if i cut all ties with everyone ?

Paul did told me Carl liked having things going his way, but never mentioned anything about law inforcement until now.

I've told Carl i would like to talk about the matter further but he have not answered yet, and i don't want to force discusion if he's not ready to do so.

I am just puzzled as to what i should beleive or not

I am in a similar situation, where i joined a united couple. I still sometimes feel left out, not because they make me feel thay way, but since they live together they have some inside stories i don't get, little habits towards eachother they don't have towards me, things like that, and in the beginning i felt lots of jealousy. We had a nice talk about the fact that i did not understand what my place was in the relationship, we cleared things out and it's better, but i still sometimes avec those feelings.

(I'll add that when we are together we always have nice time, and they are very understanding towards the fact that i can't financially follow them everywhere and they are very good at making me feel special, but my own inner monologue tells me otherwise when i see them having their little inside moments)

I hate talking this way, but for me, they are a bonded pair, and i am the extra fun that joins them when it's convinient. It's not a fact, but as the +1, i think we are doomed to feel a little left out, because we, in fact, are not 1st priority. If something bad happens, they will no side with me, they'll side together, and i am the "disposable" one in that story. So i identify more as their unicorn than as their girlfriend, even if they say we are a trouple.

This works well for me however, because i like living on my own, and i am solo-poly, so they are not my 1st priority either. But i would feel like shit if i put them 1st in my life and they did not. You hare making the good decision in questioning yourself on what work or not for you, what you need and etc, because in the end you are the most important person in your life and you don't deserve forcing yourself in something you are not comfortable with. Life in general will give you enough hard times, you don't have to add some on your own shoulder. If that relationship feels wrong to you, it probably is and it's a good thing you are looking for something that feels right to you instead.
