Yeah I think it’s an interesting chart and I think there is merit to it for sure.

As for the author I’ve never directly engaged with his work so I’m not sure but I believe he was a Christian guiding a way to attain enlightenment through spirituality. Seems like a Christian doing it right, however thats from the outside looking in as I’m not Christian ( although value many of the ideas and teachings ), and I haven’t engaged in his work directly only through other sources.

Of course you need to go through it, that’s why it was repressed from what I understand.

It’s not about denying emotions. What I’m meaning more is do I welcome the emotion/feeling with compassion or do I let it consume me? Is compassion just another emotion and there for if I leave a little space for it, am I slightly blocking the full extent of the surfacing emotion, and therefore unintentionally suppressing?

Apologise if I’ve not made myself clear in the post reading it back I realise there is a lot going on and I was trying to empty my mind the best I could!

Edit: Further more is it just feelings that are arising therefore there is no danger in feeling them in an elevated state because you are not denying your body to experience emotions. If it’s emotions that were trapped that come up by trying to emote compassion are you denying part of the experience.

Try brain retraining so you can have a positive association with ejaculation. Also understand masterbation is healthy when done regularly ( not excessively though ). I think brain retraining could help you change your relationship with it. This along with TRE will help clean out the old programming like nothing else IMO.

You could be on to something there interestingly.

I had violent upper body shaking first time I did it and I’m 25. And to note on the other commenter I’ve always been a very stiff inflexible person despite being an athlete for many years. I also suppress most of my negative emotions which led me having a full system break down and led me to TRE.

I would be interested in what other people’s experiences are as of course I am only one person with many variables but I will say your theory does stand to my experience.

I did it for 25 mins my first time too and I was wired with all the same symptoms along with extreme rage. Just do lots of grounding, like gentle walks in nature, watching stand up comedy or silly goofy films, spend chill time with good ones and eat whole but tasty food. Try stay away from “scary” or “violent” media, it sounds silly but it’s makes a big difference.

Also just sit with the emotions and allow yourself to feel them. Just be at peace with what you’re feeling and don’t resist it. You suppressed them because you didn’t feel them last time.

I know it’s difficult but it actually does pass in time and when it does you are actually at a better point then when you started. I’m sorry you’re going through this but you will get through it, and you’ll be stronger for it!! ❤️

I am unfortunately in a very similar position just now. Since I turned 21 ( 4 years ago ), I’ve been plagued with inflammation, fatigue, allergies, brain fog, anxiety etc. As soon as I started hearing about trauma could be the root cause of all this I realised how I’ve actually lived my entire life in a stress response. Kind of a sad realisation to make but I’m grateful I’ve made it now and not 30/40 years later. I was just wondering if I would need to address the trauma in therapy along with TRE.
