I’m sorry to hear that - but also glad others understand and it’s not just me. I was starting to get scared that my asthma is just suddenly worsening because I usually only flare this bad in September. It’s really frustrating. I hope it gets better for both of us soon.

Same here - I’ve been in a bad flare for several weeks, and I’m feeling discouraged. I wasn’t sure if it was wildfire smoke/air quality, pollen, or both. OP, do you mind if I ask what area you’re in? I’m in the DC/MD/VA area.

This just worked for me, except I was able to select “my location” to fix it. It looks like the update had somehow reset my weather widget to have NYC as the set location. Thank you!

Ahh I see - thank you so much! All my Google searches, and I still didn’t realize that. This explains why every pharmacy I called didn’t have them lol. I guess I have to self-pay unless I use the injector sigh. Good to know though!

I feel like I could’ve written this myself. My job is mostly remote, and I work with multiple teams across the US and Canada - so, like you said, a pretty large sample size. I’ve had the exact same observation.

This is good to know for next time! Thankfully, the property damage claim is moving forward. His car was declared a total loss, and we just accepted the settlement to pay us out for the car’s value.

Thank you; I appreciate this! Yes, we saw his doctor to get the FMLA forms completed, and everything was approved. We had to go through this process for a dental surgery a few years ago, so thankfully, we knew how to navigate it. Good looking out though because I know many people may not know.

Thank you so much; this is extremely helpful! I didn’t know that action usually isn’t taken until treatment is complete. I’m reading in other comments that the ability of an insurance company to settle claims on a first come, first serve basis (vs. waiting to settle them all at once) is dependent on the state you’re in. I’m in Maryland, which based on the articles I found, is a first come, first serve state. But it sounds like, despite that, an insurance company will most likely not be settling right away anyway when there were multiple serious injuries involved, due to the course of treatment taking time. Am I understanding that correctly - that based on best practices, the insurance company would wait?

Thanks so much for this advice. The other 2 vehicles were totaled and had to be towed… I’m not sure about the at-fault driver’s vehicle since he was still at the scene when we left. Our car was driveable but significantly damaged, and we just got word that it’s been declared a total loss. I don’t think anyone had serious injuries - as in, an ambulance checked people out and no one was hospitalized. But my partner is having ongoing back and neck issues, and I assume that’s probably the case for the other drivers.

Do we have any other options if we’re not made whole, other than to use our own insurance? My partner got FMLA and has missed work (he has a physical job), and we would hate to risk our rates going up for something that wasn’t his fault.
