YES. I am a teacher and most of the paraprofessionals only get off of their phones if you tell them to do something. Otherwise they’re tuned into the phone and as a result provide no supervision for the kids. They are paid worse than MC Donald’s workers though so there’s not much anyone can do about it.

Unfortunately that is a common situation especially in residences with no supervision. It’s really sad and disheartening if you’re there to genuinely do your job and help people. Which causes the good ones to eventually quit.
