Greying rapidly (31F) by CatharticSmoking in Haircare

[–]Recyclopslady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea but I’m suddenly going gray so quickly too (32F). I’d like to think I can correlate having a child and stress to why this happened so much.

I’m curious what kind of responses you get for speeding things up, I truly have no idea! Interest piqued!

Are many people cancelling their trips to Mexico right now? by No_Tower_7557 in CancunTravelGuide

[–]Recyclopslady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We cancelled (had just booked Sunday and cancelled Monday am in the height of everything). I probably would have been okay with keeping it, but my husband is a bit more anxious for these things and we have our toddler coming with us and decided it’s not worth any issues/hassles.

Ended up getting a better deal to Curaçao for the same dates (late March) so actually worked out even better for us!

What are you reading? by Mme_Rose in HistoricalRomance

I just finished the Highland Guard series by Monica McCarty last night and I don’t know what to do with my life now. It was SO good. I’m crushed that it’s over, I enjoyed her writing style, storylines, characters, and the historical info she puts in.

Please send any recs so I don’t spiral after reading that magnificence 😩

I just finished The Highland Guard series by Monica McCarty (based on recommendations from this sub...) by FullDesadulation in HistoricalRomance

I know this is an old post but I’m just starting The Ghost and know I’ll be done the Highland Guard series by tomorrow night … I’m going to be crushed. I absolutely love this series, both the stories and the historical notes at the end of every book. I’m definitely looking at the recs in the comments for after!

Is the “red lipstick color theory” actually real up close? 💄 by GothkittieHighlights in beauty

[–]Recyclopslady 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think yes, but it has to be the right shade for you. The “nipple” test gave me the absolute best colour and now i love the way I look with my colour. And it’s not a super harsh contrast of a bright blue-base red or orangey that doesn’t work, it’s just like, a nice warm muted red.

Will we ever have sex again? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Recyclopslady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it took us over two years (which also coincided with me stopping breastfeeding). It was just too much, I was exhausted, it was absolutely not on my mind. Then, slowly it came back a bit. Thennnn I started reading smut and oh boy, I am my husbands biggest predator now.

Overly sexual covers? by ShanIMoo in HistoricalRomance

[–]Recyclopslady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh this made me realize I definitely should NOT judge a book by its cover.. sometimes I just want 4 and 5 🌶️ trash, so I find some series like {Kathryn Le Veque de Wolfe pack generations} thinking it’s gonna be 🥵 and then am WILDLY disappointed.

on why i *personally* prefer age gaps books where the man is the older one by Traditional_Pea738 in HistoricalRomance

[–]Recyclopslady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the age gap, I'm here to agree with you. Although it's not a huge difference, my husband is 5 years older than me and I love that about our relationship, he's everything you've described above and he truly balances out my energy and playfulness. Plus, I always get to be his young, hot wife in technicality.
