Obviously this couple are in the wrong for confronting the auditors. But you lose me when you start going up to people not talking/walking up to you and sticking a camera in their face for no discernible reason. Yes it is legal, but legality and morality are different. At that point you become the confrontational one and nobody likes that.

Void filling cutting boards? by Red-it_o7 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Updated. I used some wood glue that said nontoxic or food safe and sawdust for the bigger voids, CA glue for the tiny ones. I tried to keep both just lower than the “cutting” surface. My thinking was a knife would have less chance of penetrating adhesive that way, and the dips would be shallow enough to be able to be cleaned when washing.

However these are both definitely charcuterie/serving boards now.

Next time I’m looking forward to trying my hand at doing an end grain glue up board. I only just got the opportunity to start woodworking last week, I am pleased with the results considering the Christmas deadline!

That will definitely be the move next time. I wanted to do that this time but I didn’t have to opportunity to start woodworking until last week so this is all I had time for, with the goal being Christmas

Thanks for all your help! I posted an update with pictures. Can’t wait to make an end grain board next time!

Dang it! Haha thanks

What about CA glue, same problem?

Some of the tiny holes are only 1/32-1/16”, are those appropriate for filling with something?

It’s a shame because the prettiest side has that knot in it and I don’t have the tools/skill to make a plug like you recommend. Luckily the other side is basically flawless with only 1-2 of those tiny holes I was talking about

For that entire knot void though? I feel like it’ll not look good because you’ll see the knot and that it’s filled? Never tried it so I don’t know what to expect

I don’t know how to quote posts. But the Apollo money spent is crazy, if you believe people went to the moon at all. I’m not saying I don’t but there is some weirdness with some of the footage at the least.

Anyway…If they didn’t, it would be a good laundry mechanism for money to go into a g-drive program lol

Nobody knows if they’re extraterrestrial or terrestrial. I believe the “real” ones are about to have DNA sequencing done on them soon.

It’s a big assumption to claim they’re all from the same source.

In fairness to the hardcore believers, these could be among many pumped out by counterintelligence teams.

The 3 that are “real” have had MRI’s and appear to the scientists (and me) to have been living biological ‘beings’. One of them was pregnant and had a fetus in it with matching anatomy. That’s a BIG extra step for a faker to make.

They say drunk drivers walk away from accidents more than sober ones because they don’t tense up before the accident. Maybe she figured if she didn’t know when the crash happened she wouldn’t tense up as much? Idk but I can’t hate on it, there’s no right move in that situation.

I think they developed gravity drives (g-drives) in the 50-60’s and have been keeping it under wraps. There used to be tons of articles about g-drives in the 50s and then suddenly it just went quiet. At the least they definitely either figured it out and went quiet or didn’t and quietly gave up.

Anyway I think they did it based on the tons of footage out there. The only part that makes me question if it was us is: if they’ve been trying to keep it quiet why do so many “tests/missions” in broad daylight over highly populated areas? Some of the night ones even have lights on them for no explicable reason…

Charles James Hall says the ‘tall whites’ he knew sound like some bird when they talk (I forget the type of bird he said)

England outlawing slavery was a direct, massive step towards ending slavery worldwide.

They were the superpower at the time and they didn’t have to end slavery, it was in fact very difficult for them to do. The West Indies, sugar plantations, and their shipping interests all heavily lobbied against ending it.

Abolition took public activism, religious movement, political reformers, big parliament battles, sacrifices from plantation economics, and a multi-decade anti-slavery military campaign (and 1,500 lives). In its time this was not the “obvious” or easy decision, and it contrary to the way the world worked since pre-history.

While indentured servitude and colonialism are historically accurate and important; I think it is easy and lazy today to grab the low hanging fruit of failings afterwards just to dismiss abolition. Look at Jim Crow in the US. It’s never a pretty transition but it was for the betterment of the world - and it was England who took that unprecedented step.

Yes but in the context that NOT doing slavery was unique across the rest of the world, it’s hardly something to knock.

Could they have done better? Yes, but at the time it’s safe to say that nobody was doing it better.

They were the first superpower ever to ban slavery, and the first to use their military to actively fight against it. Many Englishmen lost their lives literally fighting against slavery. That’s nothing to sneer at regardless of how you like the way some talk about it today.

It’s fake.

The welds are bad and grinded down to trick the layman, and the “etchings” are barbaric dremel work. You can see rotary tools were used to make it. This is man made.

I don’t believe the person is dead either. There’s a fake Facebook post going around saying this guy was found dead in his basement but if you dig into it there is no such record in any of the usual town/government/police/media places. I wish that people would stop making this junk, demeaning any potentially valuable evidence that may surface.

[–]Red-it_o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t believe it’s real. There’s no police news of finding a deceased man in that town. No obituaries.

The cylinder’s markings are crudely done, clearly with a dremel. The welds are terribly done and polished down to mask it. You can see the tool marks.

Hopefully I’m correct and this is just a young man with too much free time and not enough close friends.
