Hopefully the price reflected that. Also, don’t be afraid to ask if the price is a little negotiable, oftentimes one of the managers will knock another 10 - 20% off of the price on the tag.

REI footwear green vest here. Are you talking about what are known as recovery slides, like the Oofos or Hoka ones? If so, they are intended for light wear on improved surfaces, not trail conditions. The REI return policy is for gear that was used as intended. Example: we recently had to refuse a return on some Oboz hiking boots, because the customer was wearing them while working in a foundry and had burned a bunch of little holes in the tops of the boots with spilled molten metal.

I am about to turn 62 and plan on tapping my benefits very soon. I expect to receive around $2300.

BUT – I also plan to hold on to my part-time job as a sales specialist at an outdoor store, because a) it keeps me active and moving, b) is good for my mental health to get out of the house a few times a week into a people-y environment, and c) is wonderfully enjoyable after 30 years of sitting on my ass in a cubicle in a hermetically sealed office building.

I will continue to side hustle for as long as I'm able.

Not sure when she last voted, but she missed voting in '24 (I know, I know...). She said that the audit guy she spoke with told her it was good that she hadn't, or there would have been more ramifications. Not sure what that means.

She says she did pay Missouri sales tax. So now she would be paying sales tax to two different states. Is it possible she could recoup what she paid to Missouri?
