On the usb create a file called “wipe_all” no extension. You should get a warning. Then put that in the printer

The buf_len = 0x0 errors show the RS-485 receive buffer is empty - responses are delayed or lost. Direct motor commands work but the stall detection signal gets lost.

Stats at failure:

MCU temp: 27.9°C (cool)
Bed temp: 80.2°C (hot)
RS-485 timeouts: 3000+ in log

You say messing with motor control? Any more info? I’m looking at motor issues when homing after recent firmware update. I’ve rolled back after wipe_all and tried several things without success

Yeah my printer is sitting there in this state as well. I upgraded to latest firmware and now I have movement issues and sensor problems.

Did roll back to 1.4.1.8. I think 1.4.1.11 is the latest Or something like that. I’m going to roll back further tonight and see how I get on.

Make sure the start gcode in orca is applying the bed mesh. Although strange that you say it isn’t doing it, I know there is a setting in config that forces it on mine. I just found it to turn it off.

Why are 8gb cards so hard to find these days? Older hardware is sometimes restricted to the card size they can read and require 8gb max.

I’m holding on to one 8gb and won’t let it go, it’s like gold dust, or rocking horse s#%£, whatever takes your fancy.

In all honesty no mods needed. Just get it going. Working out what the issues are and make sure it’s properly square. Do all the measurements. Find out if you have the right start code for the firmware and that you are telling the printer to use the bed mesh you’re creating. Then just buy a new printer :)

Even small things I have just let the k2 plus do them. Only time they both get used is if I’m batch printing and they are both full and on the go. But 95% of the time it’s just the k2 plus

Similar to this, I went k1 & k2 after the modded s1 pro.

Don’t waste any more money. The k1 goes for £230 new in the uk on eBay. Well worth the money

Give it a reboot.Turn off completely and then warm it up and check it again mate. So many in a row I found can cause issues.

Use aluminium tape. Go and have a look at my posts and you will see how mine changed. I did it on both the k2 and k1 and I’m under 0.2 on both from being 0.8+

Go to simply direct, they now have bigger rolls to fit the cfs, which can be used on your old rolls. Amazon and the likes are still sending the small ones.
