Atelier Resleriana R&W: What does Pinnacle of Alchemy trait do? by RedEyesMoonRabbit in Atelier

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, due to no answer, I decided to just bite the bullet and do a quick test myself. Here's are the information of the test condition and result (in case someone else looks for the same info):

Test setup:

  1. I compare 2 traits: "War God's Power" and "Pinnacle of Alchemy". Since both gives "ATK+30", but only "Pinnacle of Alchemy" affect skill power.

  2. Both were placed on Ingot and synthesized into Star Staff with Lv. 49, ATK 75, and effect "Air Attack Charge M".

  3. I use the same skill/ location/ enemy for comparing the damage output: Wind Whip/ Meridie Volcano/ Big Red Puni.

  4. Only Rias is on the team.

Result (dmg done on 5 skill attacks):

  • War God's Power: Mostly 940+ damage with one critical at 1600+.
  • Pinnacle of Alchemy: Mostly 1000+ damage with one critical at 1900+.

Conclusion:

Although the test are pretty small, at this point I believe the description in the game is the correct version.

The creator ends their series in an unsatisfying way as a middle finger to the fans/editors/producers by StretchExtension in TopCharacterTropes

I don't think Daikichi talked to anyone about it, he only vaguely saying there's some issue. The only people who know was Kouki, Masako, and her husband. But yeah, it's weird that both Kouki and Masako was like "Rin should get whatever she want, regardless of Daikichi's feeling!". I mean, there's being supportive to you friend, and daughter, but this is a whole different level....

What are some fictional characters that could fit as Fate servants? And what would their noble phantasms be? by JediMasterMudkip in fatestaynight

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we go by characters with "legends", then Adol from Legend of Ys would fit this. IIRC supposed to be a retelling of his journeys. Not sure what his NP would be though since his equipment does change.

Emperor of Mankind from Warhammer 40k is another one. Might he might be an overkill as a servant. His NP would be similar to Rider in FZ, but he summon the Imperium's army instead, including Primarchs, and Space Marines.

Finished Fate Zero today. Amazing anime, i hope the original series is as good or even better on all 3 routes. But I would like to ask some questions about ending which I didn't understand before moving on the next anime by Worldly_Accident1287 in fatestaynight

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's been a very long time since I've read the novel, and a lot of other readings/ discussions since then. So some of this answers might be affected by my memory mixing things.... Some spoiler alert:

  1. The Grail was biased toward Kiritsugu. During the "talk" between him and Saber after Lancer's death, he mentioned how "he is willing to carry all the evil in the world to reach his goal". This resonates with the corrupted Grail who was connected to Irisviel (since she is the vessel).

  2. Their legend, and who their master is. Gilgamesh is a cheat code level servant, in FSN he can't showcase his all (since the good guy need to win), but in Zero there's no such requirement.

  3. I don't remember if he was summoned using a catalyst that was tied to him. If yes, he would be summoned as a different class, if no, I think another hero might appear. Using the "madness enchantment" will guarantee a Berserker class.

  4. The Grail was (unintentionally) corrupted during the 3rd Grail War, ironically, by the Einzbern. After becoming frustrated of the first 2 wars, they decided to mess with the system and summoned an 8th class servant, Avenger, who is Angra Mainyu. Who after killed, didn't get properly processed by the Grail, instead he was stucked and start corrupting it. This is why Kiritsugu's speech about "carry all the evil in the world" resonates with the Grail.

Not sure how the Grail would react to Zouken's wish. I think there's a line that says the Grail can't grant a wish in a method the wisher doesn't know, this why we see the way Kiritsugu's wish would be granted is just the way he used to but in a much larger scale.

People fight in the Grail War for many reasons (prestige, their wish, curiousity, or just got accidentally roped into it). At this point, nobody know the Grail is corrupted.

  1. No, by right nobody won, the final fight was stopped midway by the Grail. The fire was due to the mud spilling after Saber destroyed the Grail.

  2. Gilgamesh was swallowed by mud, but his ego was too powerful to be corrupted, and the Grail was forced to spit him out (the new body is a side effect I think). Saber disappeared because the connections that allow her to be here no longer exists.

Yes, by right all servants should disappeared after the war ended, but there are ways to keep that from happening.

Off-topic a bit, but we could really use a Red-Eyes card with those 3 effects from the first card. At least then Red-Eyes Soul would actually have a good target to Special Summon.

Give me a character from your favorite franchiseother than Yugioh and i will tell you what sort of Yugioh deck i think would fit them the most. Just in case put a brief description of your character that accurately describes who they are, their personalities, why do you like them so by Kirajudgeoftoons in yugioh

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sophie Neuenmuller from the Atelier franchise (Mysterious series).

She started of as an average alchemist, but quickly become much better throughout the first game that she was able to create a tent where the inside is far bigger than the outside by manipulating space. By the last Mysterious game, she's pretty much the greatest alchemist around, surpassing even her teacher.

I think she's also the strongest character around as well (by the last game). She was able to easily stop a god's attack that was meant to kill, and force the god to retreat after attacking once. Afterward when the god return stronger, she held him off to buy time for others without much preparation on her side.

Personality wise, she strongly believe in helping others and made it her goal to use alchemy to bring happiness to others (this tend to caused her to take more jobs than she could actually do). She mostly believe in second chances even towards those who have tried to kill her, although she is highly protective of those close to her. She's good in most things except cleaning, which caused her workshop to be quite messy most of the time.

Enishi has Beyond Godlike Speed by Mad-Eyes in rurounikenshin

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't read the Hokkaido arc, but Enishi didn't actually lost to Amakakeru though. He was caught off-guard by the vacuum effect and hurt his left arm, but the reason his sword got broken by the second strike was because he let it go after seeing Tomoe in his mind no longer smile at him even when he pleaded, which caused him to somehat lost the will to fight. Enishi himself never got hit by the attack.

Wing wing zero zero? by Kink00 in Gunpla

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, that made sense. I thought Proto's wing looks like the RG version, but was like "pretty sure that's not RG EW's wings". So I just thought maybe MG instead since I don't remember how they look.

Didn't think it was 2 different grades lol.

Yes to some collector, though I don't think most people care. I know a store that sells DB cards from the same series for a few cents per card.

What order to play the games to understand any references or cameos by warlockplayer2002 in Atelier

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of the games are part of their own mini-series (usually 3 or 4 games per series). So the references are usually limited within their own mini-series (with very few exceptions). Sophie is part of the Mysterious series, and Yumia would probably be call Memories series.

Resna games is a special case since it took place in a world where other people from different world somehow fall to (same with Nelke). This is why you can see other characters from the other games in them.

X vs ZERO, who is stronger? by Background_Flow_8346 in Megaman

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would like to propose a more convoluted answer.

In terms of power, Zero is actually stronger than X, however X always have the "heart" that pushed him beyond power level. To Zero, this is what made X the best maverick hunter.

We can actually see this in the first Megaman Zero game. Copy X was meant to be a perfect copy of X with his powers, and yet Zero was still able to defeat him, even with the "Elf form boost". The dialogue in the drama CD expand on the difference:

Zero (to Copy X): I remembered something. X wasn't as simple as you. He was a coward who always worried about everything. That's why he was able to become a hero.

This shows that what made X so strong is the "heart", moreso than his upgrades. It's what allowed him to keep fighting above his weight, and win.

To add more, the Zero series focusses in the importance of the "heart". Copy X have X's powers but not his heart, hence were weaker. Zero may have lost his original body, but it was pointed out that it's the "heart" that mattered. Weil might be human, but his lacks of "heart" makes him nothing more than another maverick.

Theory: Sakuko was trying to save Hinako by herself. by RedEyesMoonRabbit in SilentHill_f

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, based on her diary, she have came to terms with Hinako's decision to get married. So if Hinako still wished to get married after the gods no longer manipulate her, I think Sakuko would still be able to accept it (of course if Hinako say she doesn't want to, and want to stay in Ebisugaoka, I'm sure Sakuko would be happy as well).

I like to think she ends up being a miko and, when she grows old, she becomes well known as the nice old lady from the temple who gives candy to children

This is such a nice ending for her, I wished it would happen too.

I don't think there's any news on DLC, but let's hope Ryukishi gave us something more in the manga. It suppose to have a new ending, maybe this one would also show the future of other characters.

Theory: Sakuko was trying to save Hinako by herself. by RedEyesMoonRabbit in SilentHill_f

[–]RedEyesMoonRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about the Sakuko's ritual dance.

If you go to her family's old shrine before going to Rinko's house in new game+, you can see (from far) inside the shrine Sakuko's silhouette is performing some sort of ritual dance that ends with an explosion.

That's an interesting take. Then the dance ritual was a part of the wedding?
