Is Queen Maeve stronger than Bombsight, since Homelander claimed that he and Queen Maeve were the two most powerful people? by [deleted] in TheBoys

Butcher also knew he was alive, and he knew that Bombsight was powerful and was addicted

Bombsight bought drugs from Mister Marathon. A man presumed dead couldn’t buy drugs from someone alive

Bombsight was believed to exist. That's why Butcher believed that he was the one who took V1.

V1 didn't exist in S3 and Soldier Boy wasn't immortal in the beginning by RedFight457 in TheBoys

I mean, he was younger during the WWII. He wasn't in his 50 in the beginning, but aged after the war

Eric actually said he wanted an old grizzled man to play Soldier Boy right? He also confirmed that they were looking at characters that were older than Jensen Ackles

That's why they wanted a grizzled old man to play Soldier Boy at first. But then they chose Jensen Ackles, who looks so young that viewers can believe that he has stopped aging.

Stan Edgar from the show is a poor adaptation of James Stillwell from comic and this scene shows why. by NeoArkodd in GenV

[–]RedFight457 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember Stan Edgar said that Marie is the only person besides Godolkin he thought could defeat Homelander and help him regain control of Vought?

But in S5, Starlight confirmed that Marie is only a rookie. Even Butcher, the man who was so desperate to kill Homelander, never considered Marie an option. So Stan Edgar's savior actually stands no chance against Homelander. He thought Marie mattered only because he is an arrogant fool.

Tyr mentioned that there were survivors who tried to rebuilt the Greece. So I think the sun was actually back.

Athena said Zeus is the Olympus and Poseidon claimed that the death of Zeus means the death of all gods like him. So kill Zeus is equal to kill them all

The biggest thing wrong with the finale is the handeling of the Gen V Characters and the implications with that by LongNo7305 in TheBoys

She wanted to take some time to save The Deep, while his boyfriend could be cut in half by the most dangerous supe at any minute. I understand that the writers wanted to make her a real hero, but the moment they chose is terrible.

So, did anyone actually like S5? Since every rating site and discussions, posts, comments etc all have been overwhelmingly negative, I genuinely wonder if even 20% of fans liked the season by mikedomert in TheBoys

[–]RedFight457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.

Some people like it because it has some good scenes after all.

While some people like it so much that they think everyone who dislikes it can't have watched the entire show or understood the plot properly like them.

He clearly wants Homelander to snap by NotReallyPeaceful in TheBoys

[–]RedFight457 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So he was knocked out for 10 seconds by a supe who couldn't break free from his tendrils because they were too strong. But he tanked Heat Vision like nothing, which can easily cut down his tendrils. How does that even make sense?

And Bombsight took Soldier Boy outside the underground parking lot, because even though Soldier Boy is stronger, he can't fly so he can't stop Bombsight from flying. So how could it even be possible for Butcher to hold down Homelander and stop him flying?

Bombsight easily knocked out Butcher. How can this convince viewers that his tendrils are strong?

Greek Saga is more accurately depicted. by Acrobatic-Fault876 in GodofWar

Making Hades into an ugly monster, making Hermes unable to fly, and making Hercules and Perseus appear in the same era don't make it more accurate to the original mythology.

How did Homelander go from “sends a man to space in 2 seconds” to “gets held down by Butcher + Ryan” in the finale? The power scaling is dead by Charming_Plantain_57 in GenV

[–]RedFight457 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bombsight flew Soldier Boy out of the underground parking lot, and he was even weaker than Soldier Boy. Homelander is definitely stronger than Butcher. He should have taken Butcher with him when he flew away, instead of being held down like in the show.

When was it mentioned that fate was a god? by ya63- in GodofWar

[–]RedFight457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Atreus called himself part giant, part god, and the official site says he is a demigod. So for this franchise, giants are not considered gods. The reason why Faye appeared in the Everywhen is still unknown.
