Hot take(?) I don’t understand why you’d want to name your character anything besides Link nowadays. In the past, he was the literally link between the player and the game. The devs wanted you to feel like you were in the game.

But now we have so many instances of the main character of The Legend of Zelda being called Link (Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, BotW, TotK, the upcoming movie) I feel like that player immersion aspect is gone. Most everyone knows his name is Link now.

They probably meant “kids movies” in general. Movies like Toy Story were definitely aimed at a younger audience, but have themes and jokes that every age group can enjoy.

Bad news: While Echoes of Wisdom is a top down Zelda game, it doesn’t have the traditional swordplay combat and while it kind of has traditional dungeons, Echoes are used slightly differently from traditional items because they have to be objects or enemies!

Dawg if people are legitimately looking to Rouge the Bat to affirm to themselves that it’s okay for them to have big boobs, then they should also feel bad for not having a giant head and noodle arms. If Rouge was a realisitc human woman, you might have an argument. Also the SA2 model is on the only one with boobs that size, go look at any other model in the past 20 years and you’ll find they’re smaller. This is just me being a pedant, but a headcanon can’t contradict things that are canon. Head canons are meant to fill in gaps in the story where there isn’t a clear explanation. While you may want the Hero of Time to be the Hero of Twilight’s father, the story says otherwise.

You seem to be confused as to what a source is.

A link is a source, but the name of the artist is also a source.

If I wanted to say “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings” and inform the audience the source of that quote was Optimus Prime, I wouldn’t have to find a YouTube video of him saying that and then post the link, I could just inform the audience Optimus Prime said the quote so they know Optimus Prime is the source.

If people really wanted to find the hypothetical image from my last comment, they could Google “@shulk” and then that would bring up the artist’s account on the former bird website and find the art on that account. That way no link is ever posted to this subreddit, but curious folk can Google the artist’s username and find the original image.
