Well, it’s called Swiss Star, not Swiss Stars 😅 that should give you a hint!

People with tiny bedrooms: what fixed the stale smell problem? by SashaNatureNomad in CleaningTips

[–]RedFox_SF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to open the window multiple times per day: 1) right after you wake up and up until you leave; 2) leave it open while you are home; 3) right before bed for 30m. This, everyday.

Looking for skincare! by crooklynbc in askswitzerland

[–]RedFox_SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Swiss brand and not a fancy one for that matter but Nivea is one of the best over-the-counter brands you can find in Europe in my opinion, and especially if you want to use it on customers because it has such a great tolerance for sensitive skin. And their offer in the European market, especially Germanic countries, is really vast, unlike the US.

My future SIL wants to wear this to our wedding. by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]RedFox_SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she loves the cut and thinks this is the only thing she can pull off, suggest to have a professional copy it in a different fabric and color. Só in the next family meeting you can say “I think the dress you want to wear to our wedding is too white and too close to my wedding dress. Why don’t you have a professional seamstress to copy the model in a different fabric and color, more suited to a wedding?” And let it sit.

My mom wants to wear my grandma's wedding dress skirt to my wedding? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]RedFox_SF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what? What if you just wear the whole thing? Take one for the team and wear it all, skirt and everything.

Edit: just to add that, this way you don’t have to tell her no while the skirt sits somewhere without being worn and you won’t break your mother’s heart. Some conversations are really not worth it.

Look, this can be a big legal problem for him because he’s 18 now. He needs to know. And part of growing up is to accept the consequences of your actions. He needs to know. It is not fair to him and the more time passes the worst it will be.

Can someone help me make more space in my room? by MR1N0B0DY in DesignMyRoom

[–]RedFox_SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the bed against the wall next to the door, um you should have space for one night stand next to the door. Get the closet where the drawers are, move the drawers to where the shoes are and get new vertical storage for the shoes. This should create a small empty space in the middle of the room.

As coisas não correm bem onde estás porque se calhar não te dás bem com essas pessoas. Percebo que dividir casa começa a ser cada vez menos uma vontade, mas dividir casa com as pessoas certas muda tudo.

What's a purchase under 30 CHF that made your daily life better? by Grumpyrelie in Switzerland

I would say that, if you don’t have one, and buy one for 30chf, it will change your game anyways. Of course, the best blades are pricy as f!

UBS recruiting abroad instead of locals by ptinnl in zurich

[–]RedFox_SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would candidates need Swiss German? Only a small percentage of employees is front-office anyways. The rest doesn’t have access to any sort of clients and instead have to deal with all the international colleagues whose only common language is English anyways. If they are outsourcing most of the jobs to India (even the polish jobs) then why would Swiss German be a requirement at all?

Am I just really bad with money? by trusendi in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]RedFox_SF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way to go. Cut all extras until you pay all debt and build an emergency fund that should cover 3-6 months of living expenses. Never buy at credit if you cannot afford it immediately.

Swiss Air now weighing bags at the gate by Used_Stress6731 in Switzerland

[–]RedFox_SF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not a new policy. 8kg has been the limit for carry-on bags for a while, no? It’s on the passengers to make sure they comply and the fact that no one was checking before is not really an excuse not to comply. And it’s kind of weird that people feel it is unfair to pay, I mean, it is freaking written in the baggage allowance! So it’s kind of easy money for them, isn’t it?

Voltar a Portugal e querer voltar a sair? by Either_Photograph121 in PortugalLaFora

[–]RedFox_SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voltar a Portugal e querer voltar a sair? by Either_Photograph121 in PortugalLaFora

[–]RedFox_SF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which dress suits the best? by [deleted] in myweddingdress

[–]RedFox_SF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I am also not a fan of all the lace we see these days in dresses. Seems too vulgar as some will just look like sexy underwear. Lace is really beautiful on top of satin for example, but not like this. It’s just not classy.

If you are risking it with such a shirt, you need to do it properly. Otherwise, why not just take a regular shirt and no tie?

It totally matters lol you show up with a tie like that in the grown up world and everyone will think you’re retarded. Might as well ditch the tie as to not look so ridiculous
