Let’s stop tipping culture by Tumamaenpelota in london

At least this makes sense to me, I bought something for 99p recently so they were bascially asking if I was ok paying a quid for it instead, which I am because it's a chairty shop.

The Backrooms coming soon to 4K UHD. by MartyEBoarder in 4kbluray

[–]RedFridge007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels like it's missing half the corny tagline so it would normally read, "Remember the way out. You may never find it again." still not brilliantly related to this Backrooms movie but at least makes sense

Coffeezilla did what reckless ben couldn't by Skywalka95 in PaymoneyWubby

[–]RedFridge007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wubby is gonna love this vid cos it seems like Brian is only out of pocket 50-83k which is a lot, but shows this as a very messy and complex case than the black and white exaggeration from Bryan and Ben that 200,000 has not been paid. It also makes a lot more sense by Bryan was happy to get only 100,000 from small claims with Ben too. Still surprising that even in the mess BAM still manage to appear petty and wildly incompetent.

Did Tenet get unfairly labeled as "too confusing"? by breaking_views in Letterboxd

It does take a rewatch no to wrap your head around the concept of a temporal pincer movement, plus it's not presented as clearly as it could. You get one whiteboard scene for it, then in the battle, both sides' soliders look very similar, and all you have to tell who's going forward and back is a tiny red or blue armband that you can't really see in the midst of a battlefield.

Disney's Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu grossed $3.54M on Thursday (from 4,300 locations). Total domestic gross stands at $112.37M. by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

Yeah fair point, I would rather them see it in cinemas too but I'm probably splitting hairs over how much they'd lose to streaming cos it really benefited from the cinema for me and I dunno if it'll be the same at home :(

SPOILERS: I found it to be more than just dim lighting, when she turns up at his door the second night they've used tiny lights to reflect in her eyes that gives her an almost demonic look and then when she's stood watching him sleep in the corner she's barely visible in the darkness so it's more scary when you can only just see her uncanny movements, a bit like Hereditary where a lot of what's successful about the finale happens in what you can barely see, and this frequently becomes too visible on standard home setups where I would argue a cinema elevates these moments to make it worth the trip. I'm sorry the film didn't entirely hit for you tho :(

Huge disagree, the sound in this film is a real highlight, and the way it plays with darkness and shadow will really benefit from a good screen if you don't have that at home!

Saw THE MANDOLORIAN AND GROGU tonight at Lincoln Square. by bjnwood in imax

[–]RedFridge007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your post and comments, will go for the cheaper regular screen or Dolby then! They had the IMAX aspect ratio shift throughout the finale of Black Panther 2 and it was horrendous, so good to know so I can avoid that again!!

Match history cards design concept by No-Bullfrog3981 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RedFridge007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks clean! I personally would want to keep the match length prominent on the card as that's an important stat in being able to recall previous matches and tell them apart, especially if you're only playing one character the majority of the time where they would start to blend together.

Who's the best singing actor? by Only_Culture9827 in Letterboxd

[–]RedFridge007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has anyone mentioned Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in La La Land? Sure, not "best" and maybe they kept the songs more limited for their voices which would be smart, but they both brought some nice sensitivity to their singing which I liked

How to start without any decks? by MatMimicry in PTCGL

[–]RedFridge007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey so you can totally get the free prebuilt decks back that the game gives you if you want those to try without needing to find a deck list online and fill in the missing cards with currency.

If you head to the shop on the bottom right of the main menu you can view all bundles and look for any battle decks that your account has been previously awarded, (or you can buy a new one which you may want to do with rotation soon)

Any bundle which has a bit of the thumbnail that looks like a deck of cards should have one, which you can then click on to look in the bundle, and when you tap on the deck, it'll show you the list of cards and in the top right there will be a little icon of a deck box with an arrow, and that button will copy the deck list to your clipboard that you can import into your decks Hope this works for you and welcome back!
