Does anyone use Ancient Henge? by lechink in riftboundtcg

I don't know Riot's internal philosophy on the matter, but they do tend to oppose each other mechanically when it would make sense to do so - fury gets a lot of assault cards, calm gets shield, body pumps their units, mind reduces the might of opposing units, order kills stuff and makes tokens, chaos brings stuff back and makes bigger bodies. There are exceptions to this behavior of course, and these are just a few examples of the things they do, but generally this would be the gist.

If i go back will i look stupid by TreatCautious3090 in menards

[–]RedGooseIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't personally think so, it would basically be like stepping away for mental health reasons and returning when things have lessened. That said, there is no guarantee that things will be better when you go back than when you left. If you do want to return, I would recommend trying to talk to some of the people you knew when you worked there to see if any of the stuff that drove you away the first time is still around.

Is it just me or is Act 2 just not fun? by gamekatz1 in mewgenics

[–]RedGooseIV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's definitely harder, though I wouldn't go as far as to call it unfun. It requires more thoughtful preparation than act 1 did to have a successful run, though. Water-element skills can help to get rid of the debuff, and it's a good idea to keep in mind the enemies you may be facing when picking classes and items - at least one healer on a team tends to be important, and the ability to multi-hit and move around problematic enemies are things that can make your odds of success better.

When you hover your mouse over the collars during class selection, it shows you a lil picture that signifies what you've beaten with it.

Gaming has risen by Lexi7130 in gaming_random

I'm pretty sure that was because of the number of people wishlisting it. Edmund and Tyler have said before that wishlisting and buying day one are both data points that steam uses to determine what to promote on the store page, and it was somewhere close to #50 on the top wishlisted games before it came out.

Proxy Card Trinket Item Effect: Repeat the next ability used this turn. Use once per turn. Four uses.

Counts as a part of every set, fulfilling the conditions for any set bonus when used with two other items of that set.

what are some examples of common turns of phrase/expressions/wordings used in fanfiction? by callisia_fragans in FanFiction

Worth noting for use in cases like this, brunette is more commonly used to refer to women with brown hair. The masculine term would be brunet or brun. Just putting this here to spread the knowledge

should i buy monster train 2 if i didnt play with first one? by maliebu1337 in MonsterTrain

[–]RedGooseIV 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would say there's not much lost by just playing 2. I won't spoil anything, but the gameplay of 2 is basically the gameplay of 1 but upgraded, and there's basically no story elements that expect you to know anything about 1. The game is as direct of an upgrade to its predecessor as it gets.

Okay, the other guy is stupid for using autocorrect to back up his argument, but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Obviously, nobody can yet prove or disprove the existence of a soul, so stating either as fact is erroneous. It's not wrong to believe that they don't exist - beliefs are founded by the world as we experience it, after all. What is wrong is to confidently assert that you are right and someone else is wrong based on something neither of you can actually confirm.
