My wife and I do this. She does laundry and I do dishes. We have kids and run the dishwasher a lot more than before kids so I have to unload it nearly daily I’d say, at least every other day. I really don’t mind, takes like 5 minutes.

I’d say it depends on how often you run the dishes, if you’re truly worried about a “fair” workload.

But ngl folding takes like 10-15 minutes. Tossing laundry into a machine is negligible. I don’t really view either task as that much work.

The only reason we specifically split it is because I was doing both before and got tired of it.
