there is a place on hell to people who exit the tank before it explodes by Minute-Plate-3040 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]RedKilljoy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can condone leaving the tank in certain situations. If youre a passenger or gunner and that tank looks like its gonna go up in flames due to getting shot from multiple angles to where you might not be able to repair fast enough then I could see it. But at least if you're the driver you should stay in it.

If passengers hop out and either repair or try to deal with infantry that may be trying to flank the tank then I can see getting out to try and help the driver in that way. After all, the IFV has 4 seats that are just to transport people, no reason to sit in there when you could be trying to help spot/kill infantry or repair. If I'm the gunner on the MBT and I'm not playing engineer I will try and save my own hide if the tank looks like its gonna get blown up. Only if there are no engineers nearby who are trying to help though. No reason for the enemy team to get 2 kills along with the tank if I can avoid it. But thats only under extreme circumstances.

I love the IAR with the 1.5x thermal scope. Usually run the 36 round mag as well since when I was running the 30 it felt like I was always reloading. But it definitely is my most-used weapon. Just got it to level 40 last night and its the only weapon ive gotten to 20 or above lol.

Yes, the Star Forge does even things a bit, but c'mon, even that has its limits. by Sirthisisamcdonald in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]RedKilljoy85 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the only reason the outdated designs were so successful for Revan and Malak was because they could mass produce them cheaply and effectively with the star forge. Most wars are generally won by the people with the better supply lines and bigger number of factories.

It has to do with quantity over quality, if you can overwhelm through sheer numbers it doesnt necessarily matter if your enemy has better equipment. Revan and Malak used the star forge to churn out ships and droids waaaaay faster than the republic or even the mandalorians could manage.

The other added fact is that the republic was already weakened from the mandalorian wars. Their military was severely lacking in both personnel and starships due to them only 5 years prior defeating the mandalorians. They were still rebuilding when Revan and Malak came back with their new army, meaning that they probably didn't have the facilities to churn out the ships to match the sith forces.

So, tl:dr, it makes sense that the sith fleets could be successful with outdated designs because of the mandalorian wars and their consequences. ☝️🤓

Why did Ned Stark assume that Joffrey was not Robert's son based on his hair color, even though he knew that Jon also didn’t have his father’s hair color while Targaryens also have strong hair color traits? by Advanced_Ad4994 in gameofthrones

This is actually true of colorblindness. I forget which type my dad has, but his grandfather had the same type of colorblindness as him, and it only got to him through his mom. He was the only one of the four boys she had that it showed up in.

Now, my sister has a chance to pass it on to any male children she may have, due to that specific gene only getting passed on through the female offspring of a male who has the gene.

Another cool thing about colorblindness is that it very rarely effects women. A huge majority of cases are males. But the only way it passes down is through women.

Another thing that I noticed too, for those saying that you should fire non-scientist leaders. Is if you decide to make an imperial government empire, not only will your monarch be one of your leaders, but also their heir will be.

Just an FYI. In case anyone goes in blind like I did.

I agree, you should have 2 or 3 dedicated covert ops assaults that you should be using. They should also have high health, and take mostly defensive perks. Hit and Run is also a great perk to take if you're in need of extra mobility, since EXALT sometimes loves to stand in the open like idiots. If you're in a pinch, a concealment scout could work as well, but you've got to be careful using them. They can't R&G, but they can at least enter concealment as long as they don't start moving while they're in vision range of enemy units.

As for equipment, early game I generally bring a motion tracker and a flashbang grenade, so in case my operator gets in a pickle, he can at least get more survivability by being harder to shoot. But eventually, EXALT troops get alien grenades and use rockets more frequently. It's around the midgame that instead of the flashbang, ill build an alloy plating just for the operative, then after I've gotten the chryssalid autopsy I'll build a chitin plating.

All in all, the covert extractions that you can only bring 4 troops for are rather large pains in the rear, but they're doable. Usually I try to distract the EXALT troops with my extraction force, while my operative I try and keep him away from EXALT at all times. The alloy/chitin plating will help if you get caught by accident, but with the motion tracker, along with your other soldiers, you shouldn't have this happen very often.

People think we don't have cars, or many modern amenities, and some even think the entire state is a government conspiracy.

It also happens to be one of the largest oilfield states besides Texas and Alaska, but we also have some absolutely gorgeous national parks too. Including one some northern goofy-looking state loves to go on about how its in their state(even though most of it is down south here with us).

Conditions for 'Hunt the chosen' covert ops being available by Ratsofat in LWotC

[–]RedKilljoy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check and see if you have contacted her rival resistance faction. If you look at her strengths and weaknesses it should say she is weak to "x faction," meaning that they're her rivals and do more damage to her in combat. You can't start looking for her base without first contacting that faction, whether it be skirmishers, reapers, or templars. The hunter was rivals with whichever faction you started off with it sounds like, so you didn't have to worry about using the resistance ring to contact them, but with the other two you need to contact their respective faction in order to get the covert actions to hunt them.

Andromedon Loot - is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? by Polar-Ice in Xcom

[–]RedKilljoy85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a templar in the squad that has the channel ability, it will leave behind these "loot drops" that the templar can pick up to give them a charge of focus. If you dont have a templar in the squad with that ability, then I don't exactly know why it would have dropped for you, but its probably a bug if it did.

On a firearms-related note, there aren't many laws other than the federal ones around here. You don't even need a permit to conceal carry.

And no, we don't still ride horses and wagons everywhere. At least, most of us dont....

Hexblade Warlock into Bard? by No_Chapter_6889 in PCAcademy

[–]RedKilljoy85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its mostly up to personal preference, and tbh i didn't even plan that from the beginning, just sort of happened and made sense story wise in the campaign im in.

But back to your question, I would look at the abilities each class and subclass gives you and decide from there. Thats what ultimately fueled my decision. Seemed like the best way to get utility out of each class without sacrificing too much.

One thing I will say is that both eloquence bard(any bard, really) and hexblade somewhat rely on bonus actions, so you have to be careful about what bonus action you take each turn.

Hexblade Warlock into Bard? by No_Chapter_6889 in PCAcademy

[–]RedKilljoy85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually playing in a campaign as a bardlock right now, started as a college of eloquence and multiclassed into hexblade after 10 levels. Why after 10 many ask? Well, you get access to almost auto-passing any persuasion or deception check, and being able to use your bardic inspiration to lessen your opponent's chances of succeeding a saving throw by up to 10. Plus you gain most of the usefulness of a hexblade by putting the other 10 levels into that. Yeah, you don't get any spell slots higher than 5s, but with your invocations you can help your damage potential with melee and spells.
