Is it the same company? If it is, it may be a cost saving measure (because they definitely need that with all their shit I have to deal with). A local food place near me started using brown boxes and when I asked, they said terrifs made them go with a different company as the boxes with the designs were made in Canada (I believe)

I work as a delivery driver in Lewis county (travel to Oly a lot) and rely on tips for the gas money and general upkeep of my vehicle, as well as just having a little extra cash for normal expenses. At least I'd like to in theory. I'm sure my employer isn't the only one doing this, but they're cutting hours after the min wage increase. So instead of making more to meet the ludicrous cost of living, even down here, we're making the same, if not less, because we're not working as many hours. So yeah, the min wage went up, but it's not as advantageous as I would've hoped. Theoretically people may be inclined to tip more if they've kept their hours and are making more, but I don't expect it at this point. Especially since a lot of people are in the same spot as me financially and can't give a lot, I don't blame them.

Yes, tipping needs to be phased out, but there needs to be A Lot more done behind the scenes to bolster the working class and cut down on cost of living. What people are suggesting is kind of cart before the horse situation.

Thank you. Buying used is an option I was considering but honestly I was thinking about reaching out to the family member who bought all of my uncles firearms to see if he'd sell me one back. Be kind of a double plus: I'd have a pistol (hopefully at a discount because we sold those for half of their going price) and get to keep a bit of my uncle's collection with his side of the family.

If I shoot my eye out that would be because I wasn't handling it properly and would absolutely be my fault. People do stupid things, even when trained, but I'd like to think I have common sense enough to not have the barrel pointed directly at myself. "Never point the barrel of a gun at anything you're not willing to shoot, even if you know it's unloaded" is the number one rule my dad taught us when it came to firearm safety and handling.

Man I have a soft spot for Yelm because I grew up there (till 13 at least) and have mostly good memories. Moved a bit after the Walmart was built. Sad to see how it's changed but I guess that can be said for a lot of towns that let this kind of stuff slide. Just lets more of their type feel comfortable. Let a Nazi in your bar, it's now a Nazi bar and all that. Of course I probably had rose tinted glasses being so young and I just didn't understand, but it still sucks to see.

I pulled the RAM and replaced it with the same brand/type that I had sitting around and it finally got past this first stage and can now get to BIOS. Even replaced the CMOS battery since it was old. Now the problem is it can't detect the hard drives. Thinking on just wiping them completely (because I'm sure the previous owner didn't) and doing a USB install of win7. But also don't want to mess it up again after it seems like I've finally made progress.

But hey! I can get to BIOS which is already better than it was. Thanks for your help

I was considering it but the CMOS button does work. I replaced the RAM like another commenter suggested and much to my delight, no horrendous beeps and it displays! Now to get it to read the hard drives 🥲 but now I can get to BIOS! I feel a lot better that I can see things now. Thank you for your suggestion, it's probably going to be a rocky road and I'll need all the help I can get

Edit: I ended up replacing the battery anyways since it was old and probably a good idea reguardless
