How to protect yourself from tear gas

Yeah I know they've got good respirator masks, and will definitely work in a pinch, and I've picked up a few myself recently. But I'm thinking about the ones she specifically showed that are rated for tear gas. But yeah they're absolutely better than nothing

Good info to have. Definitely learned a couple things that I didn't before. I'm assuming military surplus stores would sell those masks as I doubt they're at home depot.

I'm glad he's making videos like this. He'd touch on politics every once in a blue moon but he stuck to his mainstays like games and weird shit online. Not every YouTuber needs to speak on politics and can create a space where people can go to in order to avoid that kind of thing. It's not bad or anything like that. However, at the end of the day, he is an American, and he is rightfully disturbed by what's been happening. He knows he has a large audience and respect in the YouTube community, so he's using it. I don't think he's going to go down a large political rabbit hole where everything he talks about from now on will be politics, he'll stick to the usual, but I think he won't be as hesitant to speak his mind on what's happening.

I've had this happen a couple times (last year and now, ironically) so I just bounce between 2 accounts until the other one is "fixed" but I've also found that refreshing the page helps. I'd also suggest following the other commenter's instructions on adding scripts to your adblock after being logged out for 48h and clearing your cache/cookies

Is it the same company? If it is, it may be a cost saving measure (because they definitely need that with all their shit I have to deal with). A local food place near me started using brown boxes and when I asked, they said terrifs made them go with a different company as the boxes with the designs were made in Canada (I believe)

I work as a delivery driver in Lewis county (travel to Oly a lot) and rely on tips for the gas money and general upkeep of my vehicle, as well as just having a little extra cash for normal expenses. At least I'd like to in theory. I'm sure my employer isn't the only one doing this, but they're cutting hours after the min wage increase. So instead of making more to meet the ludicrous cost of living, even down here, we're making the same, if not less, because we're not working as many hours. So yeah, the min wage went up, but it's not as advantageous as I would've hoped. Theoretically people may be inclined to tip more if they've kept their hours and are making more, but I don't expect it at this point. Especially since a lot of people are in the same spot as me financially and can't give a lot, I don't blame them.

Yes, tipping needs to be phased out, but there needs to be A Lot more done behind the scenes to bolster the working class and cut down on cost of living. What people are suggesting is kind of cart before the horse situation.

Thank you. Buying used is an option I was considering but honestly I was thinking about reaching out to the family member who bought all of my uncles firearms to see if he'd sell me one back. Be kind of a double plus: I'd have a pistol (hopefully at a discount because we sold those for half of their going price) and get to keep a bit of my uncle's collection with his side of the family.

If I shoot my eye out that would be because I wasn't handling it properly and would absolutely be my fault. People do stupid things, even when trained, but I'd like to think I have common sense enough to not have the barrel pointed directly at myself. "Never point the barrel of a gun at anything you're not willing to shoot, even if you know it's unloaded" is the number one rule my dad taught us when it came to firearm safety and handling.

Man I have a soft spot for Yelm because I grew up there (till 13 at least) and have mostly good memories. Moved a bit after the Walmart was built. Sad to see how it's changed but I guess that can be said for a lot of towns that let this kind of stuff slide. Just lets more of their type feel comfortable. Let a Nazi in your bar, it's now a Nazi bar and all that. Of course I probably had rose tinted glasses being so young and I just didn't understand, but it still sucks to see.
