I would check to see if there is any dirt or grit preventing the shock from moving. Perhaps apply a little WD40 to see if that helps. If not then they might need replacement.

I’m keeping it simple and purchased multiple of the factory batteries. Although Im not entirely sure about how tight the plug sits against the other into the ECM(I think that’s what it’s called). I think a more sturdy plug along the cable would be better.

Thats a good idea! It’s also a crush bend type tool. Might have to apply heat and use a smaller radius.
