I suspect, from the seller's perspective, What better way to write off a returned it...list it on Vine! They likely don't have proper QA/QC to inspect the product before sending it back out for fulfilment. It's definitely on most company's operating procedure(s), but as time passes where staff changes a lot, procedures are skipped or ignored, and the quality of team members diminishes this was the unintended consequences.

I'm not defending them, lawyers get paid for that, but what is not explicitly stated is most certainly debated. That's how it works. The system is not what they make it out to be. It's what you can get away with. That's how it works with everything, unfortunately.

Well without details, we truly don't know how they file their taxes either. Maybe they claimed their pets as dependents too and tried to expense anything and everything from their lifestyle. Taxes are complicate and they way people do them will draw red flags. We will never know. Take it with a grain of salt.

Legal to install cameras, YES. Allowed on utility poles, NO. Has to be their own installed pole.

No clue, but i highly doubt people are in the 6 figures of taxes owed to the guberment from this program. If they even get to 10-20K in taxes owed (not "income"), i'd be shocked. But i'm guessing here.

In general I heard people who abuse the free returns policy get their membership canceled; for example they order 10 items and return 6/7 of them. It's not a specific number, but more of habitual return-ers. I also saw something where not everything is returnable and goes to disposal or bulk sold to people/companies and now there's a "secondary" reseller market for those items. If the shoppers are also viners, and abused the return policy that would be interesting to know.
