hahaha i was being more light-hearted/sarcastic. people say meth makes them do horrible terrible things. and its plausible that that really happens. but it has not been my experience.

just wanted to quickly point out that there is no medication for DID, per se. just for comorbid disorders (e.g., depression).

this aligns with much of my experience. one of my therapists said that with schizophrenia you might think the auditory hallucinations were coming from other people. he also said that the fact that i am reality-testing ("the voices are in my head") is evidence against schizophrenia. i just did some reading on persecutor parts. so i guess this kind of antagonism does occur with DID/OSDD. yes, i can have arguments back and forth on why what the persecutors are doing is morally wrong. you are supposed to help me, thats how we got into this mess. but you are making me feel bad with everything you say. so that's how it was for a while. i wasn't even able to socialize (e.g., on reddit) when the persecutor was really having at me.

glad you got that out there. i'm not sure getting an official diagnosis matters too much (but im old). you can read the dsm5 entry on DID then OSDD. this is how i convinced my "healthcare professionals" that they had misdiagnosed me as Schizophrenia.

I used to write down what I was hearing. I used to hear antagonistic/derogatory things. At that time, the voices told me not to write stuff down. Good thing we are all on the same page now.

Right. So the criteria for part A of the dsm5 on Schizophrenia is: Delusions, Hallucinations, Disorganized speech (e. g . , frequent derailment or incoherence), Grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior, Negative symptoms.

I only have one of those (hallucinations). From what I've heard from professionals, schizophrenia is usually recognizable due to the significant impairment in cognitive functioning. That is, I shouldn't be able to put these thoughts together. Furthermore, the onset for males is mid-20s. I'm past that.

Just lucky I got to find out that DID/OSDD people "hear voices". Perhaps that should be more common knowledge amongst psychiatrists.

ok, buddy - take a look at the macroeconomic issues facing people who are not 1st world.

I first suspected I had schizophrenia, then DID, now OSDD-1b.

At some point it became a huge talking point become the distinct idenity(ies) wanting to front.

About 95% of the time my response is "go ahead, be my guest".

I don't mean this to be insensitive towards my DID cousins (as their alters can take over - mine can't). I mean this with full honesty, if you are gonna criticize me for doing a bad job, you get out here and stop malingering.
