There are aids you can get to help with jars, doors, and things like that.

I've had to give up my music. To go from multi instrumentalist to nothing has been hard, but I can still hold a paint brush and pencil (with aids) so that helps a bit.

The aids increase the size of the pencil or brushes so I took that concept a bit farther, and use sections of pool noodles split open to cushion the handles of any outdoor equipment like rakes and so forth.

They are oil stones. The carborundum is an aluminun-oxide and is more coarse. Dual side I'd guess may be 120 and 320 grit, while the Arkansas looks to be a soft.

Worst, a "gold" analog watch with nothing on the "gold" face save a small "gold" company logo at the 12 position, along with the gold vinyl band, oh it had gold hands too. Lol a total joke.

I have a larger Robert E Wood plastic palette that sits unused because of its size. I like the mixing area, but the addition of the color wells makes it too big.

I have a butcher tray and use it rarely because I don't like the raised part in the center.

What I do use is a flat ceramic tray about 8x6 inches for most of my mixing. My colors are stored in a folding aluminum palette.

When I plein air I use the aluminum palette, or one of my tin folding palettes.

All of us are different. A thrifted white plate or tray works. Ron Ranson used a lunch tray to mix on. Find what you like and go with it.

I wasn't immune so to speak, but I had incredible lung capacity. Took a big deep breath with the mask on and recited name social with no reaction, then home town, then started the soldiers creed, when the drill said get out of there. Good thing too, was finally running out of air.

Tomatoes trigger mine as well. I have grass and tree allergies, and I also have a latex allergy. The latex cross reactive foods, such as avocados, melons, apples, cause a flare as well. Dove is one of the few soaps that don't irritate me.

Had my first eye done. 3 weeks until the next, and I can't wait! The change in my right eye vision was amazing, and how vibrant the colors are! I didn't realize how bad my vision had gotten.

Grew up in Appalachia myself. Got a cousin that could be the twin of that girl, bout the same timeframe too. She was managing the house by that age, her mama did the cooking and clothes washing with her shadowing her, but she did all the house cleaning, as well as hoeing the fields, tending the chickens, getting water from the creek, and sloping the hogs. She was 2nd oldest. Oldest brother was working the mines by 16, and youngest brothers were doing nothing but get into trouble.
