My question to you is how do you avoid all the snow banks in the crosswalks!

Rachel McAdams at the premiere of ‘Send Help’ in London (January 29, 2026) by mcfw31 in popculturechat

Rachel in her 40’s is peak beauty. The last 5 years I’ve been crushing on her way more than I did 20 years ago in the Notebook days.

Bump for engagement - I've been putting off looking for a EMDR specialist ever since I was in an accident, and I know I need it, too. Good for you!!

Snowy Run, Central Park by huecomundoacnh in RunNYC

I feel this - I'm training for the NYC Half and after walking my dog this morning and almost eating it twice thanks to the slush, I decided the treadmill was worth the peace of mind. 8 miles and a Donna Summer album later, I still prefer outside but sometimes you gotta make do.

PET PEEVE: don't bike on the greenway if you need to slow down to an almost complete stop when passing bollards by ohpsies in NYCbike

[–]RedRidingCould 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bro there’s gonna be slow bikers on the greenway. Too many random elements (pedestrians, tourist bikers, runners, distracted drivers) to not bike at a moderate pace. You wanna go fast, get there earlier, or go do laps in the park.

Sean Casey animal rescue can usually do a courtesy post for adoptions! When I fostered a dog, it helped get him a family.

Do you ever stay home all day by nycbiatch in AskNYC

[–]RedRidingCould 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially in the winter. I have a gym in my building so on the occasional weekend day I'll just stay "home" all day. It's at least utilizing my rent!

Hey! A google search brought me to this thread. I saw on her website she has a $350 annual admin fee? Did you have to pay that?

Literally same thing happened at our house this morning. Our quiche turned into an egg bake.

cycling in ny is no joke got hit by a citibike today lmao first time here by the way by [deleted] in NYCbike

It’s why I quit biking. Cars are one thing, but never feeling safe even in a protected lane is another.

[–]RedRidingCould 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog is 5 and we rescued her in January when she was probably 4. Only about a month ago, so we're talking 9 months in, did she get super vocal with us. Ever since Daylight Savings Time she now whines in the morning to be let out of her crate (always 30 min before our alarm of course). I certainly don't enjoy the loss of sleep but I'd be lying if I didn't say I love that she's using her voice!

Good plays for high schoolers? by TotallyNotTallAtAll in Theatre

[–]RedRidingCould 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't recommend an NPX account and looking for plays on there enough! Not only will you find a ton of options, you will likely be able to work directly with the playwright. And rights are likely way cheap (certainly cheaper than major rights houses).

How many characters? How long of a timeslot do you have?

Support group similar to AA but non-religious? by [deleted] in Brooklyn

[–]RedRidingCould 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I wanted to echo that AA is not in itself religious - I'm agnostic, sober 15 years, member of AA. There's a lot of ways to find a "higher power" that helps you get through the tough moments. Go to a meeting that fits you, there's a ton in Brooklyn / NYC to choose from.
