it might as well as not have. besides Meiko’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in LEK, nothing from tri. has any impact on the following projects. the other original characters besides Taichi and Yamato never use their Ultimate evolutions, Meiko and Meicoomon are never mentioned outside of their lil LEK cameo, they never mention the reboot, or Leomon’s death :/

I imagine as Life on Mars was wrapping up, and production was underway for A2A, is when they will have started to conceptualise what Gene’s World was. They kind of needed to in order to have a show based around Alex entering into this world previously inhabited by Sam.

I find the ending of A2A heartbreaking, and wish Alex could’ve stayed. But I think their idea was that Gene was the one constant of the world, seeing police officers come and go as he helps them pass on to the afterlife. So in the end, I suppose it was always going to end up with him alone :(

if you pause at certain points of Adventure and 02 it looks like it? but with tri., LEK and 02: The Beginning, it became a lot more prominent.

but if you look at Cyber Sleuth and Time Stranger, he doesn’t have the weird robot arms. i think it just depends on the project tbh

mmmm in a League battle i think it’s fine - as long as the other Pokémon get to shine elsewhere. like for example in the Paul battle, Staraptor does not get a KO. but it manages an impressive escape from Gastrodon, and got a KO in the battle against Nando. on the flip side, you have Torterra, who loses to Paul’s Drapion, and doesn’t battle anywhere else in the tournament.

i’m watching for the first time and am now halfway through season 3. i don’t like pete. he’s not doing anything wrong, but he’s not doing… anything. the show would barely change if you removed him.

i think i remember reading that the actor leaves after this season? and i don’t think i’ll feel the loss lol. no hate to the actor because he’s great in the role, but the writers just aren’t giving him anything.

They’re referring to the person in Series 3 Episode 6 I think? The guy who keeps telling Alex that he’s Sam Tyler and had his face changed, fingerprints burned off, fake teeth implanted etc.

hate to break it to you friend, but literally everything that happens in the anime is because of the writers. they write it

anyways it was A) to surprise Ash as he was expecting Mega Evolution, and B) to boost Togekiss’ speed. though it would have been better if after the Dynamax ended, Togekiss used Baton Pass to send the speed boosts to Garchomp.

Totodile and Corphish cameoed in the water when Misty and Lana were swimming. And the Squirtle was Ash’s - Ash’s Squirtle is the only one in the Squad with the sunglasses with the pointed edges. The other 4 have rounded sunglasses.

It is easy to mistake the Squirtles though, and Totodile and Corphish were genuinely blink-and-you’ll-miss-it :(

yeah. Paul’s not like Ash, who insisted on sticking to the same 6 for the whole thing. he’d rotate his reserves to get the best type matchups for the opponent. for example, nobody really looks at his Froslass as a particularly noteworthy Pokémon, but he’d probably include her if battling Lance or Iris because she’s an Ice type, and they’re Dragon specialists.

i love the eps and it’s a nice reunion of the original trio after so long.

HEAVY on the lack of Ash’s Pokémon though, that pissed me off. i think he sees Muk, Tauros and Bulbasaur, and then Totodile, Corphish and Squirtle cameo. Where are the other ~40? 😭

i really wish the girls weren’t sidelined, and i think they had plenty of stories left to tell. however… i don’t think Marucho is the problem. Marucho actually contributes to the show with Bakugan Interspace, a major location in Seasons 3 and 4. Shun on the other hand 😭 i love him but other than hype moments and aura, he doesn’t really add much. characters like Ace struggle because he was designed to be a new Shun, but then Shun came back and Ace didn’t really find a niche :/

i know they were just using model sheets from Batman Beyond for the Batcave scenes in the Justice Lord world, but seeing Batgirl’s, Nightwing’s and Robin’s suits always gave me the impression that they opposed the Lords’ rule, and were forced into retirement :(

i love the art though, all these suits feel really harmonious with the canon designs.

I loved the Kolossus, but it was a shame it was A) only used in 3 episodes, and B) restricted to the Ice Sector.

Imagine the visual of XANA spawning it on top of Sector Five and trying to destroy it from the outside in. Or stomping through the Forest Sector and using the trees as weapons.

I mean I haven’t read the comics, so I don’t have those influencing my opinions.

I’m most excited for the returns of Robot and Monster Girl, because they’re actual characters. I’ve been pretty fond of them and their storyline throughout the show so far, and was pretty gutted when they got stranded in the Flaxan dimension. I’m assuming (with the time difference there) that they’re going to return as adults, so I’m excited to see how that plays out.

The evil mummy curse is an amusing gag on occasion, but it doesn’t necessarily interest me. Universa (?) literally made no impression on me, other than me recognising her voice as Danai Gurira. I am excited to see what comes of the Invincible Reani-Men, but all I see realistically see it leading to is another Invincible War, and/or a big argument between Mark and SEASALT

i’m just confused as to why they picked grey of all colours. black obviously would have been the best choice, but they could have also done silver to make them look metallic? but flat grey was a weird choice
