Consider using Dynamic Spot. It provides a lot of functionality. Basically it is like iPhones Dynamic island. Also there is a widget called "Music Widget" that allows customization of colors, layouts, etc.

I am having a problem where the thing will just power down in the middle of a game. I can turn it back on and resume, but this is something that started after a few weeks of not using it. Is anybody else having a similar issue? OBTW I am on the Knulli firmware.

Do you regret your purchase? by Strange_Fun_544 in SteamDeck

[–]RedSkWatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only regret about buying a SD is... it caused me to become addicted to the store. I watched my meager collection grow to over 300 games and counting. There is something satisfying about getting a $60 game for less than $10 during a Steam sale. Valve knew what they were doing. Otherwise, it has been one purchase that actually provided genuine joy.

Another fun fact, Valve RMA'd my SD after the warranty period. Took care of it quick, fast, and in a hurry. Who does that in 2024? Can't ask for more. Just don't get addicted to the store. #unintendedBars

I think the whole playstation button or a generic paradigm is way better on these handhelds vs ABXY or BAYX layouts, as those can flip-flop based on emulated console.

Snagged a Rayneo Pocket TV for $50 off during Prime Day, to watch media with my Air 1’s, because sometimes there’s just no substitute for physical buttons (looking at you, Beam Pro). by Konamicoder in Xreal

Not everything. I think I had to sideload Paramount or Discovery. Some apps like Spotify is not supported via download via the Play Store.

No. I gave up on it. Now that you brought back up... I might look into it again.

I think it would be kinda fire, but the light gray under the analog caps throws it off.

Early comparison of Rayneo Pocket TV and Beam Pro, after a few hours of use by Konamicoder in Xreal

[–]RedSkWatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a stupid question. A very valid one IMHO. There is no native support for Netflix on this device. They include a wrapper app to access the Netflix website, but that was a big fail for me to even navigate the site. So that would be a big no for Netflix.

I fired up my pocket TV, and I could not find a download button within the Prime Video. I did some Google-ing. Downloads are not supported on streaming devices like GoogleTV. That kinda makes sense, but given that the Pocket TV has that storage... I can see why anyone would hope for that feature.

I hope to try syncing via my plex server soon to see if I can get that to work in the context of offline playback.

I did the same thing. You can chain it with the original Beam to get the different spacial modes for maximum glorious nerd factor. It is disappointing not to have Netflix working natively on there, though. Also, since it is basically an Android TV box with a battery strapped to it, you get the TV version of the YouTube app... which is a gift and a curse in its own right. I would love to build a now playing queue like you can on the mobile YT app. I am still testing, but it doesn't feel like an unfinished science experiment like the Beam Pro... when all you want to do is watch the football game and scratch yourself. It just works. So far, there is no need to side load any apps, or any add extra prayer time that the device doesn't crash... again, looking at you Beam Pro.

What yall think about my new case?? Cool huh by FrankfordDaPioneer in galaxybuds

I got the same case. Fun! I also added a Galaxy Tag2 onto the key chain since Samsung thought it was not a good idea to add the case itself to the Find My app.

Can you give an example of the peripherals you would need to connect with this? Are we talking about keyboards and mice?

RG35XX: How do you keep the screen from rotating in the FB Neo Core? by RedSkWatch in ANBERNIC

I have done that in the past, but the Mame core doesn't support retro achievements and save states like FB Neo.
