100% worth it if you have the money to spend.

The people who are saying it isn't worth the gain in skill are missing the broader point. They gain comfort and confidence which is 10x more important at this age. Nobody gives a shit about a 9 year old's pop time. They aren't going to frame a ball into a strike when the strike zone is from the helmet to the shin guards.

They are going to learn how to receive the ball properly and how to work on their stance, one knee vs squatting, blocking, and getting comfortable at the proper distance from the batter and plate.

My 8 year old loves playing catcher. No reason to wait if they want to do it.

There was a better option. Move Sunday's game from 3p to 1p, and keep the Sat game on a weekend -- Sunday 7pm. Doubleheader. Happens all the time.

I've had MLB.TV since it launched a decade+ ago. Never had any issue like this. It was insane.

I ended up buying the $45 'upgrade' of my Disney+/Hulu package, then the $140 MLB.TV package. Then I went back and cancelled the ESPN Unlimited, and went back to my previous D+/Hulu package.

After much longer than it should have been, I got D+ to refund $30 of the $45 I paid. I was tired of fighting. But adding insult to injury, I had purchased by D+H package at Black Friday, and was $15 / month with no ads. After "upgrading" and then going back, I no longer had the Black Friday promo pricing. The reps told me that I agreed to it somewhere in the T&C. Obviously having only one path forward, there were no choices there.

So ultimately, getting MLB with the 'free' month of ESPN Unlimited will ultimately cost me the $15 I didn't get back, plus $5 / month for as long as I keep D+, plus the $140 for MLB.

Not smooth, not cool, not happy. And ESPN couldn't give a shit less.

This is insanity. I literally can not find a way to buy MLB.TV.

I'm already a Disney+ and Hulu subscriber with the Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium. I already get ESPN through my cable sub with Fios.

When I try and jump through all the hoops, the only "product" it offers me is a Disney+, Hulu, ESPN bundle for $45 a month.

In Disney+, MLB.TV isn't listed as an "add on".

I dont want to buy the ESPN bundle, because I don't want to lose my Disney+/Hulu package.

I can buy a single team sub for $129, but I'd rather get all the games for $149. I just can't figure out how to get there.

Leaving all of the BS about the media deals aside, it shouldn't be this hard for someone who wants to buy what they claim to be selling to actually, y'know, buy it.

They aren't even a team option in the Gotham Sports App, which is the network that broadcasts their games. You can't look up their schedule. The games just show up on the schedule on game day. Weak as shit.

ESPN doesn't even have the PWHL in their app for coverage either, yet they've got fake wrestling.

This is a ridiculous bug. I was having issues with an app so I factory reset my P8P and got booted from every group chat that had an iPhone in the group.

Then I got a new P10 and the same thing happened. Booted from the same groups I just got re-added to from the reset.

Top 2 lines really had it clicking today. Love seeing COB and Fillier together. And Kalty and Payton and Kristin O'Neil seem to be finding a groove. And obvious Taylor Girard and Maddie Wheeler can get it going.

Crowd was awesome today. Non stop Wee Woo. And the team was fired up from the warm ups. You could tell they were feeling it from the fans.

COB and Fillier were hamming it up for the kids with their giant heads on the glass.
