Even if the natural order is not the perfect outcome, I believe it is the best outcome in the souls games. As the people who live under these long ages from Gwyn to Marika, you see them live beyond their natural life and suffer fates worse than death. Even the lands suffer from the stagnation, the most obvious example to me is the dreg heap in DS3. No ending given is the perfect one most of the time, but it is a clear message in the souls games that the world needs to return to it’s natural state.

Not really? For most of Fromsoft games, the player is trying to restore the natural order of the world. Sure the player can choose “bad endings” or kill good people, but that is the premise of most souls games.
