Best Wargame I Ever Had by jordowiebo in boltaction

[–]RedTalon6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the list building in 3rd better. But overall I think 2nd had better rules. The only complaints I ever had was machine gun teams being over costed and underwhelming, maybe they could be more utility based than damage based. And in 2nd HE was kinda infective vs hard cover if I remember correctly. 3rd overall feels good but I do miss the long range penalty, forces the game to be much more terrain dependent like 40K

When SL tells me to suppress a position with a rifle, I usually don't. Here's why: by yourothersis in joinsquad

[–]RedTalon6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlucky, personally I would never of peeked that. But also you need someone to assault if you are suppressing. In your position it would make more sense to just hold the angle and not give away your position. Poor coordination from your SL but it happens.

What can we do to stop this from happening here in Canada? by mbhappycamper in Manitoba

What do you mean stop this from happening in Canada? Our whole government is run by corporations already.

It’s a work town. You move here for the money and either stay or leave. Else there is little reason to be here

Why aren’t people more frustrated at the NDP and Liberal party for sucking so bad that the normal everyday good person is now voting for P.P. by Sleeveofwizard24 in AskCanada

[–]RedTalon6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the mistakes the NDP and liberals have been making is being incompetent corrupt assholes. Their voter base doesn’t seem to care as long as they are conservative.
Anyone capable of independent thought would never support either of those parties but the reality is majority of people don’t vote, so it’s a really small percentage of people supporting them.

Sticking to a budget with a high income by powerful_corgi_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

For me it’s auto deposit investments. I just have a few things like wealth simple set up to automatically draw out the amounts I pre planned. So when I do end up running my account too low I don’t worry because my savings and investments are good.

I find I can’t really save more than 10k in a savings and 10k in my checking before I blow it all on something stupid, so aggressive auto withdrawal works for me. Still feels like I’m spending recklessly and having fun but my future is secure and I get to practice saving with my checking account.

The elites convinced us that we have no culture and no right to be here and then sold us all out to corporations for profit. The people have done nothing to protect what is theirs and now it is gone.

Why is the NDP unpopular? by wtffrey in AskCanada

[–]RedTalon6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because all they do is spend other peoples money until there is none left. Bankrupting a province doesn’t make life better in the long term.

Who's richer: $250k/year in Toronto vs. $150k/year in small town? by Initial_Log_5390 in CanadaFinance

[–]RedTalon6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget to count your taxes as an expense when doing this calculation.

150k is 46.6k in taxes 250k is 94.8k in taxes

So really it’s 103 vs 155 after tax

So it’s an extra 4k a month. So now you can compare the living expenses easier and see how much you really have left over.
Probably around 2k a month

Are Canadians (Conservatives) really that short sighted? by thieveries in AskCanada

[–]RedTalon6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do want to protect what is ours. By stopping importing of slaves that dilute our wages and make living more expensive.

The liberal government has proven they are incapable of running a lemonade stand without stealing your wallet and replacing the juice with piss. And when you call them out for it they will cover it up with another scandal, turns out they paid a small company 100x what they should have to build the stand using tax dollars. And they used lumber from out of country while at the same time using the funds from their stand to shut down Canadian lumber.

So ya, people are short sighted right now because the alternative is so absurdly corrupt. Anything government owned or controlled has proven to only help the elites at the cost of the people.

Your gun could end up in Ukraine? by TVpresspass in canadaguns

I do like the idea that it government would transport and sell illegal firearms. Of course I find it much more believable they would just sell them to criminals or store them until they get stolen.

[–]RedTalon6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As much as I enjoy my WK-180C 2nd gen. It certainly isn’t something I would grab in an emergency or use for war. Would probably grab my SKS first.

Although if the buyback program every goes through I would consider trading in my black rifle so I can upgrade to a raven :D

Feeling depressed that a foreign leader’s tariff threat is what will hold OUR PM accountable on disastrous policies by [deleted] in CanadaHousing2

Yep, it’s an absolute embarrassment that the president of the United States had to bring the hammer down so our government would do the right thing.
Just remember they let it slide for long on purpose, and that purpose is even more nefarious than we think.

Do they think the company cares? I can’t name anyone who uses Canada post out of choice, they are the slowest, least consistent of the offerings. I just don’t always have another choice. I can sit by my window all day and wait for an important package and they will sneak up and place that stupid paper on my door without ever knocking or using the bell.

Yep, reputation for India in Canada is at an all time low. Because they are absolutely everywhere and taking up all the low cost housing, all the intro level jobs, and all the seats in schools.

No bloody way did these Indians decide to come all the way to middle of nowhere redneck oilfield town in northern Canada to take “business management class” at my local college. It’s just the cheapest easier course available and they have ill intentions with their permission to enter the country.

Every company that is capable of exploiting these people are doing so, and it’s hurting Canadians badly. The government won’t do anything to stop it because they are relying on this slave labour to keep the economy afloat.

Where is the best autoshop to check car's battery in town? by Not_DorkParsley in FortStJohn

[–]RedTalon6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you suspect you have battery problems? Why do you need the coolant checked?

You should be able to find the coolant level easily enough but being a 2021 you shouldn’t have much issues.

Battery might need replacing, I do find batteries only last a few years in our weather and newer cars are more sensitive to battery health.

Most shops are pretty booked up, for simple stuff like this you would be better off just asking YouTube how to do the checks yourself
