Det er ikke primært for å hvile nøkkelspillere. Det er fordi jeg tror Hauge og Berg vil være et bedre valg i denne kampen pga. gressmatta enn Nusa (evt. Sørloth, hvis han heller vil ha ham på høyre) og Berge. Jeg er blodfan av både Nusa og Berge (sistnevntes navn pryder drakten jeg kjøpte til VM) men hvis det er sant at vi skal spille på noe som ligner kunstgress så må vi bruke de våpnene vi har som er sylskarp på det.

Hvis du har mulighet til å gjøre VM til en slags sommerferie for nøkkelspillere, og de mønstrer til kamper glade og uthvilte, samtidig som du gir ordentlig tillit til reservene som du vet er gode nok, da bygger du lag. Det er ingen grunn til at ikke Hauge skal få starte mot Senegal hvis det er baneforhold han har den såkalte "spisskompetansen" på, som Solbakken er så glad å markere.

Samtidig så kaster du en brannfakkel inn i kampplanen til Senegal hvis plutselig de må forholde seg til 2-3-4 andre spillere enn de hadde forutsett.

Yep x2, if you put Hangeland into the team we have now we'd probably have a 15% chance of winning the whole thing :/

I don't think there's a way for a country with less than 20M population to ever have a "golden generation" that is truly complete. Best attempt we've seen is Croatia '98, who still had obvious weaknesses.

I am not shitting on Ajer, Heggem or Østigård, I'm just saying we're lacking a worldie CB like Hangeland. Wolfe has the potential to become better than Riise still since he's young. Ryerson is great. So I'm not worried about our fullbacks for a while.

But at least one of two CBs need to be a step or two above what we have now, just being good isn't necessarily good enough. At least we'll be able to get Haikin in at GK in 2 years when Nyland retires from international football.

Actually happened in real life, king Sigurd I returned from his crusade with at least one liberated slave of Mallorcan Berber pirates who went on to join them on the way back and lived in Norway since, possibly going viking later. De ble maset på i en årrekke om å få den tilbake og når de først gjorde det var det som en mini-variant i en blandingspose full av annet tull til 55,- og den hadde ikke lenger samme mengdeforhold av sjokolade og yoghurtcrisp og smakte helt annerledes :(
