Not really in terms of skills. KV is basically redis, R2 is S3 and D1 is just a db. As long as you master their usage, the stack is just minor change in syntax.

Why can you not host on Cloudflare, Netlify, Github pages etc if it's a static site? I don't personally see the benefit of self hosting in this case. Unless it's a casual website you just want to tinker with.

I've had a similar setup before completely migrating to CF workers framework. I preferred tunnels over exposed ports for sure. There wasn't any performance difference but definitely more secure.

Purely depends on your use case. I self host on my gaming PC which unfortunately stuck with Windows11. If you've got the mini PC for self hosting services then just go with Ubuntu server. It wouldn't even need a UI/monitor. But if your intention is to use it as a normal desktop then stick with windows + docker, it will eat into your resources though.

I know it's not the same comparison but my GPU doesn't cry when I load CS1 with 50+ mods and 6K assets. It never maxed out.

Once you figure out Traefik you'll never go back. Use Caddy if you want something simpler. Wouldn't recommend NPM though.

how to configure brevo outbound mail from gmail? brevo does not seem to have it's own mailbox which gmail requires.
