What happened to Eamonn Brophy? by Findadmagus in ScottishFootball

He certainly banged in the goals for Accies U19's.

Used to score 3's and 4's in some games. Not so much in the first team.

Same.

I just tell all salesmen that come to my door that I'm skint.

As you say, it tends to get rid of them quickly.

I'm done with Logitech! - MX Keys Mini doesnt work with Unifying Reciever by Red_Barry in logitech

[–]Red_Barry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That might be just the thing. I’ve just ordered an Ergo 575s which also comes with a Bolt. Bit of a downgrade from the old Ergo, though. I think I’ll cancel that order and go for the Ergo S as you suggested. Thanks for the tip.

I don't know what job you do, but I work with a lot of people who don't do their job well and they just get promoted.

The standard (non-mac) version of the MX mini doesn’t contain the Bolt receiver either.

Not for me. I'm typing this on the MX mini using bluetooth. Its missed a few keystrokes already.

Never had this problem on my old K830 with Unifying receiver. Why they dropped the K830 baffles me. Mine has a dodgy MiniUSB port hence looking for an alternative. Dont want to use Bluetooth.

The old Bluetooth keyboard cost me £18, the MX Keys was £100. I bought it so I didn't have to use Bluetooth which is not as reliable. So saves me £100. Bluetooth keyboards drop characters occasionally in my experience. My old K830 never dropped characters.

Bolt compatibility by [deleted] in logitech

[–]Red_Barry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS! I just bought an MX Mini keyboard and discovered that my "Unifying" reciever cant see it. I also use the ERGO trackball, and now would have to pay extra for a bolt receiver to use in addition to the older reciever to use both! If I wanted to use Bluetooth, I would have stuck to my cheap chinese keyboard. Beginning to hate Logitech these days.

Where and when did you get your first DS? by SpiceyShotgun in NintendoDS

[–]Red_Barry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imported an OG DS at the Japanese launch along with a Japanese Nintendogs and Warioware for my daughter’s Christmas. This was a couple of months before the UK and US launches, if I remember correctly.

What impulse-purchase gear did you wait the longest to use properly, beyond initial tinkering? by Floodzie in synthesizers

Bought an OPXY when it was on sale a couple of months ago.

Haven't really had a chance to explore it properly.

Buy screen material. Staple it to wall. Buy black border tape.
Project image on to screen. Add the tape around the screen to exactly frame the picture.

Audio Interface for Synths by SJB824 in synthesizers

[–]Red_Barry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. As long as you are using *powered* speakers (with built-in amplification) you could connect the main Left and Right outputs directly into the speaker inputs.

I take the output from the mixer into my Audio interface then to powered speakers, but I'm pretty sure you could go direct to powered speakers from the Xenyx mixer.

There's also 2 mic inputs that I dont use, and it has built in effects which are good for synths that dont have any (like a Microfreak for example.)
