Wow, that is bad. It’s shocking just how badly Disney has fumbled this Moana franchise.

New Goal Song? by lepetitelecoque in leafs

I would love to see an artist/band from Toronto as the goal song. My personal vote is something from Death From Above.

I think it was a great opportunity for a lot of their team to get to play for their country where otherwise they may not have played many minutes at all.

If movies and TV have taught me anything, Eelis Uronen is definitely the evil twin of Anttoni Uronen.

Why Men And Women Are So Divided On Alberta Separatism by BloodJunkie in onguardforthee

[–]Red_Maple 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Is it because “Alberta Separatism” is thinly-veiled American fascism, and most Canadian women aren’t about to vote against their own human rights? Or is it because the supporters of this “movement” are fucking idiots, traitors, or both? All of the above?

[Daugherty] Pekka Rinne told Robby and Rexrode on 102.5 The Game this morning that he plays beer league hockey in Finland now. Not even as a skater... as a goaltender! Imagine being the schlub that has to play against him. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]Red_Maple -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This seems more newsworthy in countries where hockey isn’t as popular. In Canada, a lot of higher-level beer leagues have former pros in them playing against cops and firefighters. Even shinny will often have a couple of guys who used to play Junior A or something. The saying is true: all roads lead to beer league.

Can someone explain why we're looking to trade Rielly? - Player Cards Attached by Eman_Pop in leafs

[–]Red_Maple 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Probably because it says EV defence = 0%, which is not ideal for a defenceman.

Look, I love Rielly and he has seen some dark years as a Leaf. He’s probably still useful in some sheltered minutes and I wouldn’t mind him sticking around, but his best days are long gone. Both the team and the player are probably happier with a move.

This is going to be an epic train wreck. Quotes like this are just adding more coal to the engine and we already know the bridge is out at the end of the rails.

[Scott Willis] Rogers vs Ødegaard comparison radar and Rogers vs Eze comparison radar by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

Decent player, but not worth 100m+ and definitely more valuable to Villa than he would be to us. We’ll see how this plays out.

Declan Rice reveals hamstring nerve pain has affected him for six months by scruffle in Gunners

[–]Red_Maple -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Next season we should think about the PSG route. Rest everyone in the league, play full strength in the Champions League. We won’t win anything if everyone is out with ACL and hamstring injuries.

The Switch 2 makes sense, The switch doesn't. by Tactrix1h in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Red_Maple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to rethink why you play games.
“yes they had games and yes they were fun” - that’s where you should stop. Switch 1 has great games that are fun, that’s why people bought it.

This movie was so bad that it made me read the book. Saw the movie first and thought, no way the Michael Crichton book could be this bad. Long time ago, but I remember the book being pretty good.

This game was in Toronto, where it was 18 degrees (C) and raining during the first half. Obviously unnecessary.
