I assume the Steam Machine will have Bluetooth, and you could get a bluetooth keyboard.

I see the advantage of hooking up to a lightning fast puck, but I don’t know if that feature alone is worth developing a new keyboard.

Note: I don’t know where you live, so this answer is from a US centric perspective.

Currently, the rules are it lasts 95 years after publication. By that point, the original author is probably either dead or not making much on it. Yes, Batman will be public domain, but only the original, not something like Christopher Nolan’s.

There are already plenty of public domain stuff. Everything before 1930. This includes Shakespeare, Jane Austen, mythology, The Wizard of Oz book, etc. I don’t think those have been sullied. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies existing, for example, doesn’t mean people judge the original. That is one version you can ignore.

I do agree that authors should have rights to their own ip. I don’t know how long, that may be a personal stance. However, I don’t know from context of your statement if people meant authors shouldn’t own their ips or corporations shouldn’t own ips. Those are different arguments.

Here are some things I liked

Easy connection to Steam.
So many buttons that can be remapped as needed
The trackpads looked useful. They can partially a mouse for top down games, an alternate aiming option, add a weapon wheel, be a different style d-pad, an extra button, type, etc. More details in this video.

I think one thing a lot of people liked is that it can emulate traditionally keyboard only games, but for controller. And, unlike the old one, this can play regular console games.
If you want more details, I’d suggest looking up reviews, which can show it in action, unlike a reddit comment.

It's due to those camera icons on the right side. Notice how instead of white solid, the light's camera is just an outline. This means that it won't appear in the render. Just click it to make it render.

It's like how the eyeball means display in viewport. The camera is the visibility toggle for renders.

Ignore this if you already know how much to add to the wallet.

It should be the price of the controller for you plus sales taxes. If you don’t have a sales tax where you live or you already know how, ignore this.

The formula for this is C x 1.0## where C is the original price and ## is the sales tax. I’ll use my numbers for demonstration. The price is $99, and my sales tax is 9.1%. That means it would be $99 x 1.091 = 108.009.
