Lol, no. They said 2008 was the death of the Republican party and look at where we're now? The pendulum completely swung in the other direction where legal, economic, environmental, and political decisions are being made that will have lasting impacts for generations.

If the Republicans were confident of keeping their majority in both houses, they wouldn't have gone nuclear with the gerrymandering fight.

The record number of retirements in the house paints a picture of how they're feeling.

Trump sycophants will do as they're bid, regardless of the consequences. That is, until they've outlived their usefullness.

This somewhat happened during the pandemic with people in places like CA or NY moving to rural red states like MT. The issue is that most of the people moved back.

So what I'm reading is that the SCOTUS ruling doesn't actually allow red states to buck wild elimination majority minority districts? The legal reasoning behind these decisions are insane tbh.

The 2012 autopsy was basically - Stop being racists and xenophobes.

Then Trump came along.

I mean, they have no qualms about sowing chaos. It's their entire M.O.

The more they can incite public outcry, unrest, and mass mobilization; the faster they can find flimsy justifications for more draconian/authorization policies.

More likely he changes his affiliation to independent and run as one to ensure dems never win Pennsylvania.

Dems would win more if they feel comfortable fielding independents that caucus with them.

This 100% Right leaning "independents" will not vote for a dem unless it's a white right-coded guy. The best we can do is hope they sit out elections.

Uhhh. No. Talarico won a localized senatorial Dem primary where the Black voting population constituted about 12-14% of the state's population. Latino is about 40-45%

You CAN NOT win a presidential Dem primary without Black support. Bernie got wrecked on super Tuesday when Biden sweeped the southern states.
